During Bucky's time as the 'Winter Soldier', he was able to break free of the mind control and live a somewhat normal life. Well for a couple of years anyway. During this time, Bucky met a woman (--- Wild), but before he can truly live in his freedom, HYDRA finds him again and he is taken back into the shadows. 9 Months later his son was born.
Duke Wild had researched his father's appearances since the day he turned 12. When it is seen that the 'Winter Soldier' has once again resurfaced, 18-year-old Duke follows his evidence leading him straight into HYDRA's line sight.
