"Look, Ash! There are French fries, candies, yakisoba counters everywhere! Can we-" (Serena)
"NO! We're heading straight to the publisher's place! No snack break!" (Ash)
Yep, that's our little conversation on our way to the subway station. I'm leading the way while Serena follows behind with the face like she's been starving for years. Before I know it, she runs up to me and starts walking backwards, so she can face me
"Ash... This cute girl is starving and she needs some food~" she says while looking at me with her begging eyes, hoping that I will give in and do what she said. Well... these tricks don't really work for me, tho
"Well, cute-girl-chan, how about you just starve to death? I'd love to see that" I say coldly
"Oh c'mon! You won't let me starve to death, right?" She keeps using her begging eyes, which still doesn't work, as usual
"Watch out. There's an electric pole behind you" I say and point at the electric behind her, but as soon as she turns around, she accidentally hits her forehead on it, causing it to grow a sore red "horn"
"WHY DIDN'T YOU WARN ME EARLIER!?" Serena says while crying, but I ignore her
"You know... you look good with that horn on your head" (Ash)
"SHUT UP!" (Serena)
We reach the subway station after a minute long of arguing. I buy two tickets for me and Serena, and as soon as I get them, I call her to come over, but she just stands there, staring at something. I go to where she's standing and look at what she's staring at
There's a McDonald restaurant across the street, and inside it, there's an employee. I don't really get what girls think, but if I were one, I'd stay attention to him. I hate saying this, but to be honest, he does look kinda handsome and muscular
"Ahhh~ just look at those shiny muscles and that cute face of him... I wish he was my boyfriend..." She mumbles while looking at him with twinkle eyes
Okay... I guess she's not only psycho, but she also has a very "imaginative" brain
"Okay, psycho cat! Time to go!" I say while pulling her shirts' collar
"NO! HANDSOME BOY! HANDSOME BOY!" (Serena while trying to be against the pull)
"JUST IMAGINE THAT HE'S DEAD! NOW GO!"
"NO! THAT'S TOO PAINFUL TO TAKE! NO!"

"I'll never see that boy again..." Serena says while weeping. Now that's really annoying to me
Now thinking of it, I see lots of people talking and whispering while pointing at us. I don't know why but I have to find out what they're talking about

Well... that's... interesting. But I need to point out something here!
First, I'm NOT her boyfriend. I'm more like her slave because of what she has done to ruin my life and turn it upside down
Okay, I may have tortured and made her cry lots of time. But hey, to me, now we're even! (To me, at least)
Second, for those people who say she's cute. Well... you know, never judge a book by its cover. You get my point, right?
Anyway, the subway has arrived, so we quickly get in and head to the next station, where my workplace is at. I think this is the first time Serena has gone to somewhere by a subway, because of how exciting she looks when she's seeing the sceneries outside the windows
... wait a minute. I think I've heard something talks about us inside the subway
'Wow, those two...'
'What a cute father and daughter...'
*facepalm* God damn it... first we were considered as a couple, now we're being considered as father and daughter!?
"Hey Ash? I feel great! It's the first time to me!" Serena says- wait, what?
"T-T-The first time of what!?" I ask her in a panic tone
"My first time on a subway! What are you thinking?" Serena says while tilting her head to the left. Now that's a relief to me...
"My my, you two really are a happy family!" (??)
WHAT THE HELL!?
"U-Uh... Ms... we're not actually..." I can't even proceed any word to the lady sitting next to us. I turn my head to Serena, who has a confused look
Wait a minute... She smirks at me. I think she has something in her mind
"Uh... daddy?" Serena asks
WHO DADDY YOU!?
I have a pissed off face when I look at her, but some people don't even appreciate it. Oh well, let's just see what will happen
"Yes... uh... Serena, my dear?"
God sake, that's too cringy for me. I'm gonna die after this
"When will mom come home with us?" (Serena asks with a painful tone)
WHAT!? MOM!? I DON'T EVEN HAVE A GIRLFRIEND RIGHT HERE! SO WHAT DO YOU MEAN MOM!?
"U-Uh... what do you mean?" (Ash asks)
"Don't you remember? Mom left us when I was 8, and I haven't seen her since then..." (Serena says with an even more painful tone, which she's literally faking)
I look around and see some people feel pain for us, even some of them start to cry. Damn it!
"Serena, I-"
"Dad, you don't even remember mom anymore? Now you're always going out with those female employees!" (Serena pretends to cry)
WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT!? NONE OF THE GIRLS WANT TO GO OUT WITH ME!
Oh god, and now some people start looking at me like they want to kill me, because of this stupid drama. I have to- no, I MUST stop this
"Sere-"
"MOM, I MISS YOU! WHERE ARE YOU, MOM!?" (Serene's cry becomes louder) (now that's a critical hit to me)
Is it wrong that I'm actually crying deep inside but because of how fake but painful and tragic this drama is?
'Now that's an irresponsible father!'
I DON'T EVEN HAVE ANY CHILD!
'He should kill himself because of the sins he has'

"I CAN'T BELIEVE IT! YOU CREATED SUCH A SAD STORY OF YOURS JUST TO GET FREE CANDIES AND SNACKS!"
I shout at Serena, who is holding a bag of snacks and candies in her left hand, while she's holding a Pocky box in her right hand and a lolipop in her mouth. Not to mention she has another bag of snacks on her head
"That's because you're so greedy. I had to use this trick to get some snacks" She says but it isn't clear since she still has that lolipop in her mouth
Also, what kind of trick that brought me so much pain, but not because how sad it was
"Man, I really hit a jackpot! I should use this again someday..." she happily says while skipping
Please... don't...
Anyway, we reach the place I want to go to. The publisher's place is right ahead of me.
"Okay, time for you to turn into a cat" I command her and she turns into it. However, judging by how small she is, it's hard for people to avoid stepping on her, so I tell her to get in my pocket just to be safe, but she disagrees. (If you're asking, Serena's cat form is just bigger than a man's hand, or in the other word, you could easily hold her in your hand and squeeze her entire body like squeezing a furry ball)
She jumps from my arm to my head, and lies down on it
"Now this is a place that I think is comfy"
Seriously? My hair is comfy for a cat to use as a slepping place?
So I take her down and put her in my pocket, which she pouts about that, but I ignore it. I quickly run in the building of the publisher, and... I guess I'll tell you what happens inside it in the next chapter
