This is a poem written by my sister. She's really talented and I'm sure everyone will like this! <3 Short but amazing, in my opinion!
I live my life in a cautious way,
that keeps me alone, but keeps me safe.
My feelings are stowed away,
so maybe I'll quit hearing you say,
"It's not right to be gay."
I hide from the world, you see
because no one understands me.
My thoughts can never fly free,
so I keep it all under lock and key.
"It's just not right to be me."
I die a little inside, because of you,
and you don't even care to know the truth.
My words are lost and you don't have a clue,
so it breaks me up inside when I hear you.
"It's just a phase, you'll get over it soon."
