A Thug's True Love: The Final Chapter
~Lauren P.O.V.~
I sat in the bleachers like usual and watched as my Shawny ran back and forth across the field.
I personally loved watching him because you could really see how much his passion for football took over him. And it was really hot to see him walk up to me with sweat trailing down his chest and hear his heavy breathing- Bad Lauren!
"You ready to go?" DeShawn asked as he walked up with a welcoming smirk
"Yup" I smiled back at him. This is going to be really cliché but every time he smiles at me, touches me, or even just as much as glance at me; I feel like it's the first time all over again.
"So Lauren, our one year anniversary is coming up, got anything in mind of what you want to do to celebrate?" One year? Already? it feels more like 1 minute than 1 year we've been together.
"I'm up for anything" He grabbed my hand and together we started heading down the road to my house.
"Well then I got a surprise for you" I don't think I've ever in my life had a boyfriend as great as him. He's such a gentleman but is still a kid at heart and it's just all too perfect!
~Lexis P.O.V.~
This gang ain't ending till I'm 6 feet under.
The gang is initially what got us to where we were and it ain't going no where anytime soon. I agree we could start to slow down but it's not stopping.
At this point Trey and Ty walked in.
"Hey Dad" They both said at once
"Sup? How was school?" I took a seat on the couch and they joined me
"Boring, I just wanna stay home and sleep. You're lucky you're not in school" Trey whined
"It's not that bad, If I graduated, you can too. What about you Ty?" Ty was already starting to fall asleep. I could see him trying to keep his eyelids open.
"It was good, just sleepy" He let out a big yawn "I'm going to take a nap, I can't even hold my head up" He laughed. He got up and dragged his feet up the stairs
"Where's Mom?"
"Out with your Aunts or something like that" It was moments like this where I took a second to look at Trey. He was the exact me and that was just crazy "Aye Trey, what do you plan on doin when you're older?" I asked
"Umm, I wanna either run the gang or get into music I guess" He shrugged his shoulders
"really? Music huh? What would you even do?"
"Rap, what else?" He laughed
"Just askin, but why the gang? I would think you would steer the other direction like DeShawn and Ty"
"Why not the gang? I was born in the gang why not run it too? I could see myself now sittin at the head of the table planning on what other gang to take out, kinda like what Uncle Chewy did except not in a van"
"On a serious note, I don't want you goin down that path. I did and look where it got me-"
"exactly, look where it got you! You got money, can do whatever you want-"
"That's not the point. You can get loads of money doing things other than being a killer and dealing. I'm talking to you specifically because you are the exact mini me. Always tryin to rebel against everything and anyone." He looked at me blank. These were rare moments where I was actually this serious. I could see Trey trying to process what I just said.
After havin Ivanna and talkin to Arls it's just got me kind of in a weird mood. It really made me open my eyes and take a look at what was actually going on.
~AJ P.O.V.~
"If your Dad finds out, you know he'll end up killing me right?" I laughed as I pulled her closer to my chest
"He won't do anything because he'll never know" She said as she kissed my cheek. Today was the last day of me being 17. Crazy I was finally going to be 18 and Nicole's gift to me was her virginity. In my defense it was all her idea not mine. I wasn't after her to just sleep with her, I was with her cause she was my world.
"why tonight though?" I asked
"cause you'll be 18 and it'll be illegal and I didn't wanna wait till I was 18" She closed her eyes as I played with her loose curls
"impatient much?" I laughed. I heard my phone vibrating on my nightstand so I reached over and answered.
"Alright" I said into the phone before I hung up "Nicole, I got to go, the gang needs me right now but when I get back we'll go out to dinner as a little date" I kissed the top of her nose and got out of bed
"Alright" She said with a sigh "Just be careful" She said with a weak smile. She slid out of bed dragging the blanket with her. She had it wrapped around her but she had it loosely draped around her.
"How funny would it be if I just decided to pull that blanket right off of you?" I laughed I saw her cheeks turn bright red and it only made me laugh even more
"I wouldn't care, we've already seen each other completely naked anyways" she said sticking her tongue out at me. This was why I loved her. She was down for anything, no matter what it is, she got confidence, doesn't even mind the fact I'm a killer, we need more women like her roaming around these streets.
~Nicole P.O.V.~
If my Dad found out that I just had sex with AJ I swear I don't think I would live to see another day.
I don't regret it at all it's just if he finds out, I just don't even wanna think of the consequences.
I slipped on my jeans, sweatshirt and J's before leaving AJ's house and heading back to mine.
"Aye Nicole, where your Dad at?" A blue mustang pulled up next to me. I walked to the open window and took a peek inside
"Hey Malcolm, um I honestly don't know. I was heading home"
"I needa talk to him right quick, when you see him tell him to come to the trap, ight?" He rose an eyebrow
"I got you" I smiled as stepped away from the car. I proceeded walking along the sidewalk and passed by Uncle Varo's house. All the hairs on my body stood up when I saw him with the twins on the porch. "Hey guys!" I yelled
"If it isn't Nicole, where you headed?" Uncle Varo asked but he wasn't even looking at me. I followed his gaze and saw he was looking across the street at Uncle Marcus and I'm guessing his neighbor?
"Yup it is, what are you doing?"
"I still don't believe Uncle Marcus is with my neighbor. so when she's alone I'm finna ask" He laughed
"You're so weird, but I'm heading home, I'm tired" I yawned and waved good bye to them. I put my hood up and kept my hands in my pocket.
~A Few Minutes Later~
"Dad? I'm home" I said as I shut the front door
"In the kitchen, what were you up to?" I walked around the corner and saw him with Angelique
"I was at AJ's house, we're going out tonight for his birthday and why is Angelique here?" I smiled at her
"Isn't his birthday tomorrow though? and Uncle Chewy needed me to watch her" He cooed. I couldn't help but let out a small laugh
"Yeah but we're celebrating tonight so his brother and him can spend tomorrow together. Malcolm said he needed to talk to you and for you to go to the trap" I motioned for Dad to hand me Angelique and he willingly placed her in my arms.
"Oh, alright, I'll go really quick, can you handle watching her for like an hour?" He rose an eyebrow
"Yeah, she's easy right?" He just shook his head with a laugh, grabbed his keys and walked out of the house.
~Chanelle P.O.V.~
"One shot, two shot, red shot, blue shot, big shot, small shot, everybody take a shot" Riley sang as she poured herself a shot
"Did Varo teach you that song?" Renee asked with a laugh
"He did! I went out for a drink with him a few nights ago and I swear, that kid is just too much" She said in between laughs
"I miss this, I miss when it was all of us without a care in the world, just having fun. Now we have kids" I laughed
"Except me" Aaliyah smiled
"Yeah yeah, don't rub it in, but it's fun to have them" Bailey said
"I wonder what the guys do at home when we're not there, ya know?" Riley said. We all went quiet and thought about that for a second
"That's actually a scary thought" I laughed
"So Javier told me that Lexis was talking to him about letting Trey actually be apart of the gang, much like how Huey was" Riley said. I looked at her with a surprised look
"I was never told of that. I don't want my kids anywhere involved with what they do. It was bad enough that they had to grow up around it, let's not make it worse by letting them participate in it" I shook my head at the thought of seeing Trey holding a gun up at someone. I couldn't stand seeing Lexis do that, much less seeing my child.
"Wow, Isabella said she wants to be apart of the gang too." Riley laughed, we all looked over at her
"What do you mean?" Bailey asked in confusion
"She said she wanted to be like Dad and her Uncles. I asked why, and she said cause she wanted to follow in her Dad's footsteps"
"Javier know?" Aaliyah asked
"Yup, and he was all for it-"
"Are you?" I asked
"remember when we wanted to be our own separate gang? I told Isabella no, but I already know Javier is going to somehow weasel around me and get her involved" She said with an irritated look
"Isabella huh? I would have never in a million years expected her. She is princess material" Renee said with a small laugh
"Right? That's what I said"
"Watch all our kids be the next generation to take on the role of their Uncles and Fathers" Bailey said "I don't ever want to see my twins like that but I already know Varo wants to raise them like that. He wants them to carry on what he does." She rolled her eyes
"I can see all the kids rise up to fill in those spots" Aaliyah said "Well I'm going to head home, I have a date with Vince tonight" She smiled
"We came with you, so we're leaving with you" Renee said. I gave everyone a hug and now it was Riley and I walking back to our car.
"Talk about crazy, I didn't expect the conversation to take such a turn" I laughed
"Me too, but it's true. All of it, Nelle. We're raising killers" She let out a roaring laugh
"Oh my god, shut up. Tyreese isn't a killer and I know for a fact Vanessa isn't killing anyone. She cries when she steps on a trail of ants" I laughed with her
"I know right? I don't wanna talk about the future anymore though, I wanna just enjoy the present" Here we are worrying about the future when we need to be living in the now. I drove Riley home and headed straight to my house, I missed my Ivanna.
~A Few Minutes Later~
I pulled up and saw all the boys playing outside and Ivanna was on the porch in her crib...um?
"Hey Mom" They all said at once
"Hey, why are you all outside and why is she outside too?"
"We wanted to play outside, plus we have Chris, Michael, and all them comin up. Dad said he left a note for you on the counter and we brought Ivanna outside so we could hear her crying in case she was: DeShawn said as he wiped the sweat from off his brow. I had to take a double take when he walked up to me "What's with the double take?" He asked confused
"What the hell have you been eating? You were just this skinny little kid roaming around the house, where did all these come from?" I said as I squeezed his bicep
"Football workouts, legit huh? Lauren can't keep her hands off me" He laughed, I just shook my head and walked inside and saw a little white note card. Here we go with the notes

Oh dear lord. I smiled to myself and jogged upstairs to go change and get ready.
~40 Minutes Later~
I just finished curling the last section of my hair and put on my peach colored pumps. I had on a white strapless shirt that was neatly tucked into my matching peach mini pencil skirt. I had on my pearl earrings and pear necklace that hung delicately around my neck. I put on a little eyeliner, mascara, and some eye shadow. I topped it off with a little light pink lip gloss.
I grabbed my phone and keys off the nightstand and walked downstairs to see the yard filled with kids.
"Wow Mom, where are you going?" Trey asked as he held the basketball
"Dad wants me to meet him at the place where we first met. I don't know what he has planned but I've learned not to ask questions and just to go along with it" I laughed
"Well you look beautiful Mom" Ty said sweetly
"Thanks sweetie, We'll be back later, if you need anything don't hesitate to call us, if you can't get a hold of us, call one of your Uncles or Aunts" They nodded their heads and I hopped in my car and pulled out of the drive way. What the hell does Lexis have planned now? Knowing him it could be anything.
~20 Minutes Later~
I stopped infront of my Mom's old house and felt all the memories rush into my head. I smiled and walked to the backyard and walked along the path I used to take to get to the park.
It was already dark out but I came across the park. It was empty but looked the same as before with just a little bit of aging.
I walked over to the swings, took a sweat and swung myself a little bit. I pulled out my phone and was about to text Lexis to see where he was but I heard footsteps walking my way. I looked up and couldn't believe my eyes.
It was Lexis and I felt my heart skip a beat, He was dressed the exact same as that night, he came walking up from the exact same place too.
"Hey" He said in his husky voice
"Hey" I said back a little hoarse
"What's up ma? what are you doin alone?" He smirked at me. I wanted to drop to the ground this was the cutest thing he has ever done. He was recreating the first night we met, so I just went along with it
"Nun, you?"
"walkin around, getting to know the hood. I'm Lexis" 16 years ago.
"Chanelle" I blushed
"You cute lil ma"
"You don't look half bad yourself"
"That's how I do" He said popping his collar just like before. He held out his hand and pulled me up "Alright enough of that, I already know my swag had you speechless the first time we don't need to have you speechless a second time" he laughed
"I can't believe you did this. Why though?" I asked. He stole my wing and pulled me onto his lap wrapping his arms tight around me
"because, 16 years ago this very spot was where both our lives changed for good. Right here, right now, was where we became intertwined in each other's life. All the ups and downs, hardships, bullshit, all that and much more happened because of us accidentally meeting each other." He said as he kissed my neck "You look better now than you did that day you were here" He added in
"Thanks, you look so much better too. With you dressed like that, it brings back that night when you showed up at my door and then when you chilled at my house and gave me a kiss before you left" It seemed like just yesterday this happened and I felt like we were about to relive it.
"I remember when you saw me at your door and you couldn't stop staring at me" He laughed
"Well if a guy such as yourself was standing at my door was there damn who wouldn't stare?" I laughed
"I agree, and then when school started and Tanya was claiming I was the father of her baby and that night I told you that but you gave me your virginity-"
"Oh the irony" I chuckled
"and then it turned out you were pregnant and I was hella scared. I may have seemed calm and collected but I was scared as fuck"
"I was even more scared, I thought you were going to walk out on me and I would have been a single mom, in school, on my own" I sighed
"Yeah I know, but I wouldn't have ever left you like that, I'm guessing God knew we both were so scared cause he took our baby before we even got the chance to see it"
"I remember that day in the doctors room, when Arls was there too"
"Who could forget when I went to jail and had to leave you, Trey, and Ty. I didn't even get to meet him before I left"
"I know, those were the worst 5 years ever. Trey took it the hardest, he would cry for you all the time but there was nothing I could do" Thinking back through all these memories was actually pretty cool. So much we had gone through
"Whoa back up a sec, before the whole Jail thing, remember the club? When you came back from New York and we saw each other at the club?"
"That was one of the best nights we had ever had"
"Then Chewy coming along, Ayden and his bullshit, all the kids being born and joining the family"
"Watching everyone grow up, families growing, wow. It's just so hard to believe" I sighed and snuggled closer against his chest
"Lookin down memory lane and thinkin how I almost lost you, If I ever did lose you completely you know I would have just committed suicide right? Knowing someone else was wifeing you would have just eaten me alive"
"You're so whipped" I laughed
"I don't care, shit as long as you're the one in control of the whip, I don't give a single fuck"
"Aww, so why are we here, seriously?"
"Look at us, this long we been together and I wanted to just take a moment to really sit down and appreciate everything we've been through. But Chanelle" He stood up, grabbed both of my hands and looked down deeply into my eyes. "16 years ago you were my Only love. 6 years down the line we were at each other's throats but my love still Never Died. And now 10 years later you're still my True Love." He closed the space between us with a kiss that was just like the first one.
