Oscar had picked up his phone.
I smirked to myself. "Greetings, Oscar," I said in a proper accent, only mimicking my mother the slightest bit.
"Uh...is this Star?" He asked.
"Yes, it is Star. And I have made my decision." I said.
"Okay...." He said. "So, who is it?"
I wanted to both grin and bellow at the same time. "Well, Oscar, you see, it's...."
After my call with Oscar, I trudged to Marco's room. I knocked and he immediately opened the door, still in his pajamas.
"I've made my decision, and I dread to tell you it," I told him.
He sighed. "I knew being gone for too long must've hurt you, and I'm really so-"
"Don't say that!" I interrupted, quickly cutting off my British accent. "It's...it's my fault. Not yours. Please, Marco. Whatever I say..don't let ruin our friendship..?"
"I won't," he said.
"I..I chose Oscar.." I said.
And he pushed me out the door. With moisture in his eyes and his high-pitched voice he said, "I knew I should've loved kissing Jackie," and slammed the door.
