"I had to go back to school today. Everyone thought it would be best for me to get back into my normal routine as much as possible. It was just so weird without you there. You're rarely ever sick and if you are, it's usually only for a day or two. I also drove by your house this morning out of habit. Your mom came out of the house when she saw me just sitting there in my car. She gave me the saddest look I've ever seen. Everyone is just so sad all the time.
"We were all so happy and relieved when we received the doctor's diagnosis the other day. Usually, you get to celebrate the good news with the patient though. Instead, we just look at your lifeless body every day and it's scaring the crap out of everyone. At least I know I'm scared to death. The thought of you not ever waking up again haunts me day and night.
"I know I have to stop thinking about the negative things and focus on being positive. I'll be better tomorrow, I promise."
