Y/N- Y/N, a former member of the Diamond Cutters, was part of the team for a brief period of two weeks before their betrayal and subsequent demise at the hands of Mimic and Eggman. An anthropomorphic fox, Y/N's appearance is left open to the reader's interpretation as their fur, eyes, tail, and hair color are unspecified. Instead of traditional Diamond Cutter gear, they opt for a unique outfit consisting of ankle-high azure black boots, fingerless green gloves for better weapon handling, black shorts with a wisp canister, a black long-sleeved shirt, and a hoodie with a fox-like mask covering most of their face with a single red scope eye. Equipped with a modified Burst Wispon modeled after the Red wisp, Y/N's Wispon can switch between a flame thrower and a precision shot mode. They are paired with a red wisp named Redster. Y/N is characterized by their quiet demeanor, complex thinking, and preference for staying out of the limelight. They have a tendency to keep to themselves and only trust Whisper and individuals aligned with her, as Whisper is seen as a mentor and leader figure to them. Their temperament can turn fiery when provoked, showcasing a quick temper and a longer-lasting anger. Despite their initial reluctance to engage in social interactions, Y/N shares a close bond with both Tangle and Whisper. Their relationship with Tangle is marked by camaraderie and friendship, with Tangle serving as a source of comfort and encouragement. With Whisper, they share a deep bond of trust, forged through shared trauma and a sense of companionship in facing challenges together. Silver in this chapter has expressed his feeling to Y/N. Here's a short summary. The interaction between Y/N and Silver was filled with unspoken emotions and heartfelt gestures. Silver's confession of his feelings for Y/N was met with surprise and hesitation from Y/N, who struggled to accept his affection due to the complications of their differing backgrounds and the fear of getting hurt. Silver's vulnerability and earnestness in expressing his emotions contrasted with Y/N's guarded demeanor and reluctance to let their walls down. Despite Silver's heartfelt confession and genuine care for Y/N, they ultimately pushed him away, unable to bring themselves to risk a relationship that seemed doomed from the start. The aftermath of their interaction left both Y/N and Silver feeling a profound sense of loss and regret. The unspoken words and unfulfilled emotions lingered in the air, a poignant reminder of the love that could never be realized due to the barriers they had built between them. Y/N's decision to keep their distance from Silver was a painful one, driven by fear and a desire to protect themselves from the pain of vulnerability and potential heartbreak.

Whisper- Whisper is an anthropomorphic wolf with biscotti fur that covers most of her body, and brown skin that covers her muzzle, inside of her ears, arms, upper torso, and front torso. She has thick black eyelashes and cloudy white fur around her eyes that resemble a mask. Her eyes are cadet blue, although they are often closed to the point of squinting. She wears light gray eyeshadow and has a long, bushy tail which ends in several tufts of fur sticking out in various directions. She also has a black nose, long-pointed ears and quite long hair that she keeps tied at the back in a ponytail with a black hair tie, save for a long, thick hair bang that covers her right eye. Her pointed cheeks are a little fluffy. Her fangs protrude from her mouth which is often in a natural frown. For attire, Whisper wears a cream-colored tube top, light gray leggings, and a dark gray cloak, in which she keeps six canisters. The cloak also has black and dark gray pockets seen on the shoulders. Whisper wears an outfit geared towards combat. This includes dark gray arm sleeves with black elbow pads, dark gray and light gray gloves with visible dark brown claws, and dark gray knee sleeves and black knee pads. She sports military-fashioned black, dark gray, and light gray boots. She can sometimes be seen wearing her cat-like ornate mask scope, which is cream, dark gray and light gray in color. Three holes are seen at the right side of the mask and a blue "eye" on the left side. Since the betrayal, Whisper has become quieter to the point of it being a whisper, she has also become more reserved and bottles up her emotions when put in stressful situations rather than talking. They have a deep bond with Y/N due to them both sharing trauma from the betrayal causing Whisper to be wary in making relationships with friends. Whisper sees Y/N as a trusted ally, someone who has always had her back and stood by her side in times of need.

Y/N was sitting on the edge of a cliff, the Restoration members were given a break, despite Y/N still not used to relaxing Tangle managed to get Y/N to go off alone to someplace the liked.

Y/N wrung their hands nervously, shifting in their seat as they gazed out at the vast landscape before them. The tranquility of the surroundings only served to amplify their discomfort, their mind racing with thoughts and worries that refused to be silenced. They clenched their jaw, a crease forming between their brows as they struggled to calm their racing heart.

Their usual instincts were to be alert, to be prepared for any danger that may come their way. The unfamiliar feeling of peace and quiet only served to unsettle them further, making them feel exposed and vulnerable.

As the minutes ticked by, Y/N's agitation only grew, their fingers tapping a restless rhythm against their knees. They couldn't shake the feeling of unease that coursed through their veins, the unfamiliar sensation of not being on guard at all times.

Silver: Guardian Angel!

Y/N jumped in surprise, their heart racing as they looked up to see Silver floating in front of them, a small smile on his face as he used his telekinesis to levitate in the air. Y/N's initial shock dissipated as they realized it was just Silver's powers at play, and they let out a sigh of relief, the tension easing from their body.

Y/N: What are you doing here Silver? I thought you were in the future now that its restored.

Silver felt a blush creeping on his muzzle as he was about to do this.

Silver: We'll I've recently been taking in gardening in this time, and I grew a rose.

Silver's expression softened as he reached into his quills, pulling out a delicate rose that he had carefully nurtured in his time spent gardening. He held it out to Y/N, a gentle smile and a blush playing on his lips as he offered it to them.

Silver: I grew this for you, Y/N.

Y/N's eyes widened in surprise at the unexpected gesture, their confusion evident as they hesitated to accept the rose. They had never been in a situation like this before, unsure of how to respond to Silver's heartfelt gesture.

Y/N: Silver, I... I don't know what to say. Thank you, but...

Silver's smile faltered slightly at Y/N's hesitation.

Silver: Please, Guardian Angel.

Y/N let out a long, weary sigh before finally accepting the rose from Silver, their fingers brushing against the delicate petals as they took it into their hands. They looked up at Silver, a mix of gratitude and discomfort in their eyes as they took a deep breath to steady themselves.

Y/N: Silver, please... stop calling me that. Just Y/N is fine.

Silver: But you deserve to be called it.

Y/N shook their head, a small smile playing on their lips as they looked up at Silver.

Y/N: Silver, thank you for the rose. It's beautiful. But you don't need to call me Guardian Angel. Just Y/N is enough.

Silver's smile grew as he nodded in understanding, a sense of relief washing over him as he saw Y/N's genuine appreciation for his gesture.

Silver: D-Do you mind if I sit with you?

Y/N's smile widened as they patted the empty space beside them, gesturing for Silver to join them on the edge of the cliff. Silver floated down and settled himself next to Y/N, the two of them sitting in comfortable silence as they gazed out at the peaceful landscape before them.

Y/N hesitated for a moment, their fingers curling around the edges of their mask as they debated whether or not to remove it. With a deep breath, they finally made up their mind and lifted the mask off their face, revealing their features to the gentle caress of the wind.

Their eyes fluttered closed for a moment, feeling the breeze against their fur and the sensation of freedom as they let the mask fall from their grasp. The cool air swept through their hair, tousling it gently as they tilted their head back, savoring the feeling of openness and vulnerability that came with baring themselves to the elements.

Silver kept glancing at Y/N, contemplating.

Silver: H-Hey Y-Y/N...

Y/N turned to look at Silver, a curious expression on their face as they waited for him to continue.

Silvers heart got caught in his chest as he saw Y/N's gaze. He begins talking in his head.

Silver: C'mon you stupid idiot, you have their attention, just tell em already.

Silver took a deep breath, gathering his courage as he spoke up.

Silver: Y/N, I... I have something I need to tell you. I-I... I care about you, more than just a friend. I-I think... I think I might have fallen for you.

Y/N's eyes widened in surprise at Silver's confession, their heart skipping a beat as they processed his words.

Y/N puts their mask back on realizing their mistake of getting close to Silver.

Y/N: Silver...

Y/N's voice was barely above a whisper, a mix of shock and uncertainty in their tone as they struggled to find the right words to respond to Silver's confession.

Y/N: Silver, I... I appreciate your feelings. But it wouldn't work out, you're from the future and I'm from the present...

They looked down at the rose in their hand, the delicate petals now seeming to weigh heavily in their grasp. With a heavy heart, Y/N gently placed the rose back down on the edge of the cliff, their movements deliberate and slow.

Silver: Y/N... we can make it work.

Y/N shook their head, a sense of finality in their voice as they looked up at Silver.

Y/N: I'm sorry, Silver. It's just too complicated. We're from different worlds, and I... I can't afford to let my guard down like that. I hope you understand.

Silver's heart shattered into a million pieces at Y/N's rejection. The pain was evident in his eyes as he struggled to mask his disappointment, the weight of her words bearing down on him like a heavy cloak. His shoulders slumped, his body language betraying the hurt and longing that he felt in that moment.

The hopeful gleam in Silver's eyes dimmed, replaced by a profound sense of sorrow and resignation. He had laid his heart bare, only to have it crushed by the reality of their circumstances. The rose lay abandoned on the edge of the cliff, a poignant symbol of the love that could never be.

Silver forced a weak smile, masking his heartache behind a facade of understanding and acceptance. He knew that Y/N's decision was final, that their reasons were valid. But that didn't make the pain any less agonizing, the ache in his chest a constant reminder of the love that would forever remain unrequited.

Silver: Ok...

Y/N: Silver are you...

Silver: No... it was stupid...

Silver slowly stood up from the edge of the cliff, his movements heavy and laden with unspoken emotions. With a final, pained glance at Y/N, he turned away and levitated into the air, his silver-white quills fluttering in the wind as he floated away.

Y/N watched in silence, feeling a pang of regret in their heart as they saw Silver drift further and further into the distance. The weight of their decision settled heavily on their shoulders, a bitter taste of sorrow lingering in the air as they watched Silver disappear from view.

The moment passed in a whisper of wind, the sound of Silver's departure fading into the quiet stillness of the landscape. Y/N was left alone on the edge of the cliff, the rose lying forgotten at their feet as they contemplated the choices they had made, the words left unsaid hanging heavily in the air.

As Y/N reached down to pick up the rose, a sharp thorn pierced through the fabric of their glove, pricking their skin with a sudden jolt of pain. They flinched at the unexpected sensation, a small droplet of blood welling up where the thorn had pierced their skin.

Y/N paused, their gaze fixed on the tiny bead of blood that welled up on their finger, a stark reminder of the consequences of their actions. The sight of the crimson droplet against the delicate petals of the rose was a harsh juxtaposition, a symbolism of the pain and regret that had come from their decision to push Silver away.

With a heavy heart, Y/N carefully picked up the rose from the ground, cradling it in their hand as they felt the thorn prickling against their skin.

Y/N clenched their jaw, a mix of emotions swirling inside them as they held the rose close to their chest. They closed their eyes, a pained expression crossing their features as they silently reflected on the choice they had made, the consequences of their actions now tangible in the form of a simple rose and a single drop of blood.

As they stood there, the wind gently rustling their mask and hair, Y/N felt a sense of sorrow washing over them, a profound regret for the pain they had caused Silver and themselves. The thorn that had pierced through their glove now felt like a physical manifestation of the guilt and remorse that weighed heavily on their heart.

Y/N slowly brought the rose up to their ear, the delicate petals brushing against their fur as they tucked the flower behind their ear. The vibrant colors of the rose contrasted with the dark hues of their mask and outfit, creating a striking visual contrast.

Later...

Tangle and Whisper were talking in Restoration HQ, Y/N walks in, the rose immediately catching both their attention.

Tangle: Y/N, what's with the rose behind your ear?

Whisper: Yes, it's not like you to wear accessories like that.

Y/N hesitated for a moment, their gaze flickering between Tangle and Whisper as they contemplated how to respond. Y/N instead remained silent and tried to walk away.

Tangle and Whisper exchanged a knowing glance before Tangle spoke up.

Tangle: Hey, wait a minute. What's going on, Y/N? You've been acting strange lately. Is everything okay?

Y/N stopped in their tracks, their shoulders tensing slightly as they turned to face Tangle and Whisper. They took a deep breath, steeling themselves before speaking.

Y/N: It's... it's nothing, really. Just a... personal matter.

Whisper's keen eyes narrowed slightly as she studied Y/N, sensing the underlying tension in their words. She took a step closer, her voice soft yet firm as she addressed Y/N.

Whisper: Y/N, we're your friends. You can talk to us, whatever it is. We're here for you.

Tangle nodded in agreement, a reassuring smile on her face as she reached out a hand to gently squeeze Y/N's shoulder.

Tangle: Yeah, we care about you, Y/N. You don't have to face whatever it is alone.

Y/N felt a swell of emotion rising in their chest at the genuine concern and support shown by Tangle and Whisper. They blinked back a sudden wave of tears, their mask covering the turmoil that churned beneath the surface.

Y/N: J-Just leave me alone...

Tangle's expression softened as she shook her head, refusing to back down in the face of Y/N's walls that were clearly put up.

Tangle: No, Y/N. We're not going to leave you alone. We're here for you, no matter what. You can trust us.

Y/N's resolve wavered slightly at Tangle's unwavering determination and genuine care. Their mask slipped slightly, revealing a hint of vulnerability and uncertainty in their eyes as they gazed at Tangle and Whisper.

Y/N clenched their jaw, their expression hardening as they pushed Tangle and Whisper away, their walls firmly in place as they backed away from the comfort being offered to them.

Y/N: I said I don't want to talk about it. Just leave me be.

Tangle and Whisper exchanged a worried glance, sensing the pain and turmoil that Y/N was trying to mask behind their tough exterior. Tangle reached out a hand, her voice gentle yet insistent as she tried to break through Y/N's defenses.

Tangle: Y/N, please. You don't have to shut us out. We're here to help, to support you through whatever you're going through.

Y/N's gaze darkened, a flicker of fear and vulnerability flashing in their eyes before they quickly hardened once more. They took a step back, their voice low and strained as they pushed Tangle and Whisper away.

Y/N: I don't need your help. I can handle this on my own. Just leave me alone.

Whisper stood her ground, her patience wearing thin as she watched Y/N retreat further into their protective shell. The gentle demeanor she usually maintained was replaced by a steely resolve, her eyes narrowing with determination as she took a step forward.

Whisper: That's enough, Y/N.

Her voice was firm, cutting through the air like a blade as she closed the distance between them. Y/N blinked in surprise at the sudden change in Whisper's demeanor, the normally quiet wolf now exuding a quiet intensity that demanded their attention.

Whisper's brow furrowed, her gaze unwavering as she placed a hand on Y/N's shoulder, preventing them from retreating any further. There was an unspoken challenge in her touch, a silent plea for Y/N to open up and let her in.

Tangle: Whisper what are you--?

Whisper: You can't keep shutting us out like this. We are your friends, your allies. We care about you. And whatever it is that's weighing on you, you don't have to face it alone.

Y/N's eyes widened at the unexpected confrontation, the weight of Whisper's words hitting them with a force they hadn't anticipated. The mask they had carefully constructed around themselves cracked ever so slightly, revealing the vulnerability and pain that lay beneath the surface.

Y/N's defenses faltered, their façade crumbling under the force of Whisper's unwavering support. A tear slipped down their cheek, the first crack in their armor as they struggled to hold back the flood of emotions that threatened to overwhelm them.

Y/N: I... I'm sorry...

The words were barely a whisper, filled with a raw honesty and vulnerability that caught them off guard. Y/N's shoulders slumped, the weight of their burdens too heavy to bear on their own as they finally allowed themselves to lower their defenses and let Whisper and Tangle in.

Y/N took a deep breath, their voice devoid of emotion as they finally opened up to Tangle and Whisper.

Y/N: It's... about Silver. He... he told me he cared, that he had feelings for me. But I... I pushed him away. I hurt him. Told him it wouldn't work out.

The words were heavy, weighed down by guilt and regret as Y/N confessed their inner turmoil to Tangle and Whisper. The mask they wore seemed to crack further, revealing the pain and vulnerability that had been hidden beneath the surface for so long.

Tangle: Why? Silver seems like a nice guy.

Y/N hesitated, their gaze fixed on the ground as they struggled to find the words to explain their actions.

Y/N: It's... complicated. Our worlds are different, our paths divergent. I didn't want to put him through the pain of a doomed relationship.

Whisper's expression softened, her hand squeezing Y/N's shoulder in a gesture of support.

Whisper: Y/N, sometimes it's worth taking a chance, even if the outcome is uncertain. Silver cares about you, and you care about him. Don't let fear hold you back from something that could bring you joy and happiness.

Tangle nodded in agreement, a reassuring smile on her face as she spoke up.

Tangle: Yeah, Y/N. It's okay to be scared, but don't let that fear dictate your actions. Silver deserves to know how you feel, and you deserve to be happy too.

Y/N: No...

The tears flowed freely now, their mask slipping further as they allowed themselves to be vulnerable in front of Tangle and Whisper.

Y/N: I... I'm too afraid. Afraid to let my guard down, to be vulnerable. I can't... I can't bear the thought of getting hurt again.

Whisper's eyes softened, her voice gentle and understanding as she reassured Y/N.

Whisper: It's okay to be afraid, Y/N. But don't let that fear control you. Trust in yourself, in your friends, in Silver. Take a chance on love, even if it's scary. You deserve to be happy, to have someone who cares for you.

Tangle nodded in agreement, a warm smile on her face as she reached out to embrace Y/N.

Tangle: We're here for you, Y/N. We'll support you every step of the way. You don't have to face this alone.

Y/N retreated back into their walls, not wanting to hurt Silver with a doomed relationship.

Y/N: Stop!

Y/N's voice was hoarse, their emotions raw as they pushed Tangle and Whisper away once more, their walls firmly in place as they tried to protect themselves from the pain of vulnerability.

Y/N: I can't... I can't do this. I can't let myself or anyone else get hurt again.

Tangle and Whisper exchanged a glance, their expressions filled with concern and understanding as they respected Y/N's boundaries and gave them the space they needed.

Whisper: We understand, Y/N. We'll be here whenever you're ready to talk. We care about you, and we'll support you no matter what.

Tangle nodded in agreement, a reassuring smile on her face as she stepped back, giving Y/N the space they needed to process their emotions.

Tangle: Take all the time you need, Y/N. We're not going anywhere. Whenever you're ready to open up, we'll be here.

Y/N watched as Tangle and Whisper left the room, their hearts heavy with the weight of their emotions and the choice they had made. They sank to their knees, the tears streaming down their face as they grappled with the pain of their past and the uncertainty of their future.

Y/N: Silver... I'm sorry.

And as the tears fell and the mask slipped, Y/N allowed themselves to feel the full extent of their emotions, embracing the vulnerability and pain that had long been buried deep within their heart.
