Wow it's been a while since I actually wrote anything...I don't know if I'm as good. Oh and you might wanna read the previous chapters, just to get back on story line properly

A loud sob escaped from Khairi's throat, and her right palm immediately flew to her lips, muffling her sobs. It took a while for her to register what was happening, and to come face to face with the term that her Older sister was standing right before her
Her sobs intensified, and a million emotions were reeling through her at the moment. Relief, that's what she felt at the, Khairi was seeing her sister after a long time that she couldn't help but feel that way. At the same time tears were streaming down her face
We're they tears of joy? She couldn't even exactly pinpoint at the moment. She was so engrossed that she forgot that Doc was standing right behind her, and as he moved to open the door wider his voice came "Who is it Unmulkhair?"
She watched as her sister's eyes immediately went wide, and Khairi immediately presumed what her sister would think at the moment. She was quick to act "No, I swear it's not what you think at all" She was shaking her head vigorously
It was like something within Khairi just snapped, all the emotions she's been bottling just came rushing through. One minute she was standing before her sister and the next minute she was down on her knees, crying her heart out. Her lungs felt so constricted that she felt difficulty inhaling and exhaling, Khairi was literally wheezing
She was crying so loud that Ami had heard her and came rushing out, asking what was going on. Her sister stepped inside the house, not after glancing at Doc and Ami with questionable eyes.
Khairi had expected and pictured a lot of things for when she meets her family again. But what she hadn't pictured was her sister getting on her knees and bursting into her own set of tears. She hugged her, and then the tears intensified
They were both crying and hugging each other like their lives depended on it "I didn't do it, I swear" Khairi blurted out amidst tears "I'm not that type of person"
"I'm not a bad person I swear" Khairi repeated on and on "I didn't do it...I didn't do it..."
The words kept coming out of her mouth until her sister wiped her own tears and grabbed Khairi by the shoulders "I know Khairi, I know you didn't"
Ami looked at her brother, and they both took it as their cue to give the sisters their space. Khairi also wiped her eyes that had turned bloodshot red "What?" She questioned
"That's why I'm here"
Khairi's breath hitched "How did you know I'm here? How did you find out? What do you mean that is why you are here?"
Batul, her sister, took in a sharp inhale of breath, she then wiped her face. She couldn't help it, her arms enveloped Khairi in a large, warm hug "I've missed you so much, so so much" Her face was now buried in the crook of Khairi's neck, and she was on the brink of tears again
Khairi was rendered wordless, her lips moved to form a coherent sentence but no words came out, only the stream of tears that were cascading down her cheeks "I...I..." She tried again, but they were no words
Her older sister moved back, looking at her in the face "Let's talk Khairi, I have so much questions and so much to tell you" She grabbed her by the shoulders, urging her to stand up as they moved to the two-sitter chair in the sitting room
Khairi scanned the place and neither Doc nor Ami was nowhere to be found, they must have left to give them some space and time to talk. Her emotions were all over the place, but the tears had finally subsided. They sat down, facing each other and none had uttered a word yet
Finally, after what felt like hours but were just mere seconds, Batul spoke
"Abbu has been miserable ever since you left" It was the first thing she voiced, her throat worked "It's affecting him more than you think. First, I thought it was guilt that was eating him up, for letting you leave. But then I think he just misses you so much more than he likes to admit"
"And Khairi don't even get me started on Iman, your absence is affecting her so much that it's staring to worry me. Anwar's been asking where you've been, he's too young to understand what is happening so I just told him you traveled, but these days he's been pestering me that he wants to talk to you..." Batul choked on her words as she took a momentary pause
"What you don't know Khairi or that Abbu never wanted you to leave, he was just so gobsmacked that day, that he couldn't even utter a single word for the rest of the day. It totally fazed him, believe me Khairi I couldn't even believe it myself. And then imagine the heartbreak Abbu would have went through, after doing all his best to raise us and make us follow the straight path, and then he finds out that his own daughter is pregnant. He was flabbergasted! How? Why? When did all this happen? Out of all of us you had the best of manners, then where did it go wrong? What did he do wrong?"
A silence followed, Khairi finally said "But..b-but.." She stammered, not finding the right words to string a sentence
"I'm not done. That same day you left, After maghrib we all went out looking for you, but you were nowhere to be found. Abbu even sent some people the next day to look for you all over town, but no one found you, and nothing could be done"
"But I clearly remember him telling me to leave! He said you receive h it's curse if you ever talk to me again" She was finally able to form words, Khairi went on with a pained voice "I can never forget the disappointment in his face as he told me to leave, it was the worst moment of my entire life"
"No Khairi!" Her older sister's voice went up a notch "If I clearly remember, you were on your knees asking him for forgiveness, but Abbu couldn't even speak, he couldn't even look at you! But then you told him that you totally understood if he wanted you to leave, and then you did! You left!" Batul's voice was now laced with anger, all the anger she's been keeping to herself "You just left! Without waiting for him to speak or say anything to you, you left!"
She took in a sharp inhale of breath "It was a horrendous day for us. We spent hours looking for you and didn't even went back home till after midnight. And that day Abbu..." A pause came "I've never seen him that way, he cried Khairi, Abbu cried. His whole body was shaking I've never ever seen him that way"
A gasp escaped her, her hands flying to cover her lips in horror. Her eyes moistened, what had she done?
"None of us could sleep that day, not when we didn't know where you are, or in what situation you were in. But you just left Khairi, not even thinking of how we felt. Do you know how I felt? No! You just went ahead and leave. We're family, and no matter what happens we still care for you, we can't just let you..." Khairi watched her older sister as she broke down into another fresh set of tears
And it broke her, it completely and utterly broke her. She was in a turmoil of emotions and her heart, her heart pained her so much that it physically hurt
"I thought he just wanted me to leave, since he didn't say anything" Her voice came out so low, that it was just an octave above a whisper "How could I stay Batul? With what eye do I look at my father? After the shame I've brought upon him, upon all of you"
Her sister was just shaking her head vigorously
"But...how did you find out I was here?" The question had been nagging her, and she couldn't help but ask
"That day, at the restaurant" Khairi winced at the memory, it was a painful one "We found out the car you came with, and then wrote down the number. It was hard but it led us here"
Khairi felt totally drained, emotionally, mentally and physically "But I don't understand, if all of this happened then..." She gulped "Then why did you act that way at the restaurant"
"I don't know...honestly. I just felt like you needed to learn some lesson and I tried to get to you by saying those harsh words" Her head was casted down "I'm sorry"
Khairi shook her head "No, you don't need to apologize to me...I..." She took a pause, not knowing how to go on with her sentence
By now her sister's tears had subsided, and she enquired "Don't you think you owe me an explanation"
She nodded in agreement. Khairi affirmed "I do"
And with that, she narrated to her the whole story. Her story

Khairi and her sister were talking about everything to nothing. After the tears, the emotions and break downs, they were finally smiling, chattering and catching up
It felt so good. Khairi felt so good that her heart was swelling like an inflated balloon. The happiness she felt was indescribable
Her cheeks were hurting from how hard she's smiled. She hugged her sister for the umpteenth time, the grin on her face becoming a constant "Hold on, let me call Doc and Ami so you can introduce yourself"
Khairi stood up, almost jumping on her heels as she sauntered towards the bedroom. She felt so happy, so ecstatic, Khairi never thought this day would come
It all felt like a freaking dream. Alhamdulillah, she muttered to herself. Now all that's left is to seek forgiveness from her father and then reconcile with her family
She hoped and prayed that all will go well. Khairi has been praying for this moment ever since her unfaithful destiny occurred. All the Tahajjud's, her cries to the Almighty it all came down to this
Indeed, after every hardship there is relief. Alhamdulillah, she muttered yet again
Her hopes had skyrocketed, she couldn't wait to see her family again. Khairi never thought they would accept her back as a part of the family, she had prayed and prayed hard about it. And now that her prayers were slowly being answered, she was on cloud nine
Indeed, Al-Rahman works in miraculous ways!
Khairi knocked on Ami's room, but there was no one occupying the room. So she moved to Doc's room, she gave the door a soft knock "It's me"
Doc opened the door, and she immediately gave him a sheepish smile. He must have noticed her puffy eyes and red face, but there was a smile on her face. He studied her "All good?"
A nod in return and she appraised "I just wanted to introduce you to my uhmm...sister"
A soft smile was playing on his face "Sure. Be there in a sec, let me call Ami"
Khairi bit her lip subconsciously, she nodded and walked away. Some minutes after Khairi sauntered back to the living room, Doc and Ami emerged
Immediately standing to her heels, Khairi gestured towards them "This is Doctor Dahir and Amira, he gave me a place to stay that very unfaithful day" She looked at her sister "And then meet my sister, Batul or Fatima"
Doc gave her a very polite smile and Ami muttered a 'nice to meet you'
"I should get going now" Batul glanced at her wrist watch, taking note of the time. She made a move to leave, not after turning to Doc and saying "You just found her out of no where, you don't know her, but you still sheltered her protected her and kept her out of harm's way. So thank you" A small smile graced her features
"The pleasure's all mine" Came his reply, he looked back at Khairi with questionable eyes and she uttered "Let me just see her off"
When they were by the door, Khairi said "But can't I just go with you?"
"I told you Khairi, not now. I haven't even told Abbu I found you yet. It'll come as a shock to him, so I have to tell him first explain everything to him and then from there we'll see how things go"
The little ounce of hope that Khairi had suddenly diminished. But she still forced a smile "Okay. We'll see how things go" She affirmed
Moving forward to hug her sister, she mumbled "You have no idea how much your coming here means to me. Thank you, thank you so much and I love you" Tears pooled her eyes yet again
"No, no more tears okay? Everything will be back to the way it is very soon In shaa Allah, so just keep praying. I promise you I will help you"
Still relishing the hug, Khairi whispered "Thank you. May Allah repay you with the highest rank in Jannah"
"Ameen" They separated "By the way are you sure you're safe with them?" Batul couldn't help but whisper-ask
A smile graced Khairi's lips "I am. I stayed with them for almost two months now. If anything, Doc is like my Prince Charming when I was a damsel in distress"
Batul quirked a brow, giving her a questioning look with narrowed eyes "Yeah, and I'm the evil stepmother. This is no disney movie" She rolled her eyes playfully
"Andddd, miss sarcasm queen is back" Khairi drawled and the both laughed
She watched her sister leave and even though she felt like fleeing and following her she had no choice. She has to be patient
Her chest felt full, her heart felt full. And for the first time since the very unfortunate destiny that befell her, she felt like her life is getting back on track. She felt happy

Oh and I changed Khairi's older sister's name. Sadiya felt too long for me so I changed it to Batul
I don't plan to write more than 30chapters in shaa Allah. And I know you guys must be mad at me for not updating in like forever🥹And I'm sorry for that
