—— YOU WOULD'VE THOUGHT THE PHONE WOULD STOP WORKING with the way it was blowing up as soon as aria powered it on again.
to be fair, she got an extremely late start to her morning.... or afternoon as she had woken up at 3 pm. "my god." aria let out a horrific sigh at the way it kept buzzing, she was so grateful for all the love being sent to her but also really needed her phone to be fully functional by the end of this. of course the majority messages came from her mother, then marie, then kylian, and many other members of her family and friends in madrid, argentina and paris. she also received congratulatory messages from people like jamie, kathy and lucy who was in fact pregnant much to aria's suprise. aria made sure to extend the congratulations back and let lucy know that she was super excited to be a future aunty and spoil the baby, but was yet to hear any reaction from kathy. she figured she would have plenty of time to react to that situation later, right now she had to call her family, friends and boyfriend and then go through the deal with versace and the after respond to all her emails. she groaned at the mental list she had just made up in her head, she really needed to hire an agent as soon as possible.
once she had gotten friends and family out of the way she called her boyfriend who picked up rather fast. "ARIAAAAAAAA!! the boys wanna congratulate you!" he said before panning the camera over to theo hernandez and then antoine griezmann. "never would have pictured the med kid to end up being a model. also why do you have stars all over your face." theo said with a puzzled expression displayed on his face. aria laughed, "they're pimple patches. set makeup is so crazy." she smiled. "what's set makeup?" he asked again, more puzzled this time. "you're so stupid theo," antoine said, taking the phone from him. "hi aria!!" he screamed. "shut up grizi, at least i can actually handle more than two shots." was all aria could hear before kylian snatched the phone.
"someones been having fun." aria smirked. "post-first match activities. the boys wanna let loose," he smiled. "saw the full show last night, you looked so sexy." he said, whispering the last part. "thank you baby." she giggled to him. "kylian, i wanna announce something. you're gonna be the first to hear this by the way." she said. "i'm honoured, amour. go on..." he said excitedly. "i'm walking versace next month!!!" she squealed, kicking her feet back. "wow baby!! things just keep getting better and better for you, i'm so proud." he smiled at her. "and they will be for you too. less than 24 hours till i see you, my love. i'm so excited." she giggled. "i am more! but hey, these guys are gonna talk my head off if i stay. i love you and i'll see you tomorrow." he blew a kiss at the camera. "love you more, see you then." she smiled before hanging up.
she smiled as she stared up to the ceiling, she couldn't be more grateful than she was in this moment. due to all the craziness in her life she had to take a few steps back from school, it was okay with her though because she managed to pay off all of her student debt and have rent payed back in madrid despite marie saying she could have it covered. aria missed marie so much, her chaotic best friend whom she hadn't seen in eight entire months. she knew what she had to do right then and there. she opened her laptop and went through flights from madrid to doha. she knew marie was still 100% committed to school, but reading week was coming up and she wanted both her and marie to at least watch the knockout stages together. she picked up her phone and shot marie a quick text.

now that aria had her answer from marie she went ahead and booked a flight along with a pre-paid 5 star hotel. she wanted marie to have the best possible experience and forget about the stress for this entire week. she knew how draining it was to be a med student so she booked marie a massage session at the hotel for when she got there, and a nail appointment for now in madrid so she could not only feel her best, but look her best before she got there. marie deserved to be pampered after how hard she had been working recently. she was so proud of her.
aria went ahead and ordered breakfast and then took a nice cold shower and did her morning skincare. as she was washing her face, someone started banging on the door. it had her so shocked that her face wash got in her eyes and was stinging like crazy. she managed to wash off the excess soap and brought the towel with her to dry her face as she opened the door. "room service!!!" bella yelled out with a rolling tray full of food. "bella, what the fuck? how did you even get that?" aria said in shock. "well, i was coming up here anyway and then i saw the room service guy so i payed him 50 dollars to give me the tray to surprise you. wasn't it soooooo cute?!" she gushed. "very cute. but i didn't order this much food." aria said, puzzled as she walked over to her suitcase to get started on packing. "guess the other tenants are starving then." bella said popping an orange slice in her mouth.
"when are you going to doha?" bella asked. "tomorrow. 4am, bright and early." aria sighed, already dreading the 9 hour flight. the time difference from paris to doha was only an hour so aria would arrive in doha at about 3pm qatari time. "rough. when does the game start." bella questioned. "like 10pm in their time zone, so i'll probably catch up on sleep and maybe go out and walk around town until the match." aria said, folding clothes to put in her suitcase. bella brought her plate over and sat down beside aria to help her. "how many games will he be playing?" bella asked, biting into a strawberry. "depends on how far he gets. we're aiming for 7, right up until the final." aria smiled. "bella, why don't you come visit, you know? watch a few matches, maybe you could find someone cute." aria winked. "and become a wag like you?" bella laughed. "you know it." she smiled, quoting her boyfriend. "i'll come towards the end maybe, my schedule is super hectic but i think i can make the later matches... you better tell your boyfriend to stay in it until then." bella challenged "hopefully. fingers crossed that he will." aria said folding another shirt. "speaking of crossed...." bella said holding up a pair of arias racy underwear. "put that down!!" aria said, covering her face in embarrassment. "didn't know kylian was getting the full packaged deal." bella laughed
the two girls sat there and caught up for so long that the time had already reached 6pm and the dinner started in about an hour and 30 minutes. bella opted to stay at aria's hotel and get ready with her, and the girls had just made it out the door in the nick of time. aria wore a sleek black dress with a versace fur coat over top, whilst bella went for a navy blue hérmes piece. they quickly drove over to the luxury restaurant that romee had booked and met with all the girls. the dinner was absolutely amazing. the girls were all telling stories about the earlier victoria's secret shows and spilling secrets on crew members. kendall told aria about how apparently louise used to be dating a man 20 years younger than her who's mother was actually louise's competitor in fashion school. aria couldn't believe the things she was hearing and she realized how quickly time seemed to pass when she was around the people that made her happy. they all bid their goodbyes to aria and wished her a safe flight and just like that she was back in her hotel room again to get about 3 hours of sleep before she had to be up again to catch her flight.
