He fell back and then hit a table.
Hard.
I look around and saw everyone looking. I mean who wouldn't.
Someone literally punched someone.
Maddy and Cara stayed still with their jaws on the ground.
Landon regained consciousness and then went to
punch Ravi and Conner in the face and I knew I had to step in. I stepped in front of them and Landon immediately stopped his fist into going into my head.
"Miss Fitz-Amobi and Mr. Parks, follow me." A deep voice called out. Everyone turned to him as we saw the headmaster. Oh shit.
I followed the headmaster and didn't want to make eye contact with anyone as that was very-embarrassing? Maybe it was funny? But Jesus what is going to happen to me? Or us, if I include Landon.
All I know is that at the end of the day, I will be packing my stuff.

"We are truly sorry for causing so much drama." I said with my eyes to the ground. If I met the headmasters eyes, I would possibly breakdown. "We won't ever do it again."
It was silent for at least 20 seconds and he sighed.
"We are sending a warning to both of you." He said giving us a paper. "We can't lose our valuable students."
I looked up at him and titled my head," Your not kicking us out?"
"Wait what?" Landon said. I gave him a look and he put his hand up in defense. "I was zoning out?"
"We can't kick you out for a silly thing, but if you continue then yes."
"That's something I didn't expect." I said scratching my head. "People saw and will think we a personal favorite."
"But basically you guys are.. but we need to discuss what you guys are doing."
"Meaning?" Landon said stretching his legs on the desk.
"Pippa, I heard you are doing another case?" He said. He turned to me and grabbed a pen. "If you need anything for that, tell me and I will give it to you."
I nod and look at Landon. Landon was already looking at me and blushed in embarrassment turning away. "What about me sir?"
"We are asking baseball players to submit their forms, to be drafted." He said sniffing. "You need to work on your form and I can recommend you to very good teams."
"Really?" Landon asked.
"Really." Headmaster gave him another paper. "Now run along you too, I have a meeting."
We scrambled out our seats and left quickly. Once the door closed to the headmaster's office we sighed
"I thought we were done for." I said slicking back my hair.
"Same, literally I thought i was going to get kicked out of the baseball team."
"Well I thought the whole ass school asshole." I said raising my eyebrows.
He rolled his eyes playfully and waved. "Well, see you around pip." He said. He then stopped and smiled wider, "Also tell your boyfriend or whoever that it was a good punch."
"Not my boyfriend but sure." I said waving back and sighing as he ran off to the baseball field.
I smiled at the thought of being his girlfriend again but, I just don't want to risk anything.

"So you only got off with a warning?" Cara said eating a gummy bear.
"Yup." I said grabbing my clothes out the washer. "Only a warning."
"You slept with him didn't you?" Maddy shouted out.
My eyes widened and I put my hand on my mouth.Cara was choking on a gummy bear as she heard Maddy say that.
"What the fuck?" I said grabbing my wet clothes and putting them in the dryer. "Why would I sleep with him."
"I don't know, enemies to lovers." She said grinning.
Wait. Who is she talking about.
"Wait are we talking about headmaster?" I said as Cara still had widened eyes.
"What the fuck, No!!" Maddy said putting a land on her chest. "Asshole dude!"
"Landon?"
"Asshole dude!"
"He's not my boyfriend and never did anything with him." I sighed as I pressed start on the dryer. "What kind of books are you reading that made you like this?"
"Books.." She said giggling and then running out the Landry room.
"I'm so confused.." I said starting the dryer.
"Me too Girl." Cara said leaning against the washer. "Me too."

"Mom it's fine, I'm going to be fine." I said leaning against my car.
"Okay honey, but maybe I should pack you something to eat-"
"Mom!" I said laughing, "I'm going to be fine."
"Your daughter is right, sweetie." Dad said as he hugged me. "Take care, pickle."
"Thanks dad, yes mom listen to your-"
She shot me a dirty look as I put my hands in the air. She then calmed her face and smiled. She hugged me and I was introduced to a floral fragrance.
"Take care baby, don't be afraid to call. We are here for you."
"I will call ma, love you both." I smiled softly. I knew I couldn't call them. Not until he's locked up.

I woke up in my bed and rubbed my eyes. I got out of bed and went to the bathroom. I washed my face as I felt really hot and looked in the mirror. I blinked and then when I opened my eyes, I wasn't in my apartment bathroom. I was in my house bathroom. I looked around and saw everything the same. The toothbrush's of me and my brother, the messy towels, the glass, and more. I walked out and saw everything look different.
"Mom?" I called out, "Dad?"
I turned around and saw blood coming out my room. Oh no.
I ran and opened the door. I looked down and saw me. I was bleeding. I looked at myself and saw myself with gunshot wounds, six of them. I gasp for air and fall down, I scream hard and cry.
The next moment was me shooting up in bed. I looked down at myself to check for gunshot wounds but nothing. I put my hand on my heart and my other hand to run through my messy hair.
I got up and I went straight to the kitchen. I opened the fridge to grab a water and then went to the cabinet with all the medicine. Mostly mine but no one has to know that part. I turn and I see maddy and Cara standing there. I widened my eyes and out my hand on my heart.
"Jesus don't stand there like that-" I said sighing."You scared me really bad.."
"Why are you up?" Cara said.
"Is that your medicine?" They both said at the same time.
"I'm up cause it's hot- and yes this is medicine." I said.
"You know we are here for you-" Maddy said until i stopped her.
"Not this conversation. It always ends up with someone crying." I said chuckling. "Go to bed—it's late for you both—and I will too."
Maddy looks at me as she watches my face. She gives me a sympathetic face and smiled softly. "Of course.. we will get out your hair." She grabbed Caras arm as they walk over to the living room. "Night pip."
"Night."
One thing I never noticed is that my roommate is never here. She is always with her boyfriend and basically attached to the hip to him. I'm glad she doesn't come home sometimes as it gives me quiet time and time for me to be myself. I grab my door and quickly closed it as I stepped into my room. I sighed and grabbed my medicine and swallowed it. I choked on it for a good second and I washed it down with water. I sighed and took a deep breath. As I laid down on my bed, I put my hand under my pillow. I thought I was crazy and felt something and I ignored it until I felt it, as it felt like a envelope. I grabbed it from under and I gasped quietly. How did this show up here? I know for sure my roommate didn't do this nor Ravi, Cara, Maddy, and Conner... for sure I know it was someone who wanted me to know something. Something personal. The envelope was heavy and as I opened it, it was a diary. I opened the first page and read it..

In the summer of 1899, a young girl named Elizabeth was playing outside her family's farm when a man approached her. He told her that her mother had sent him to bring her home, but Elizabeth quickly realized that he was lying. The man grabbed her and forced her into a horse-drawn carriage, taking her away to an unknown location. Elizabeth's family was devastated by her disappearance, and the local authorities launched a search party to find her. But as the days turned into weeks, hope began to fade that they would ever see Elizabeth again.
I wished I could see Elizabeth one more time. She went to church with me and was very kind. I saw her before the accident, I wanted to tell the authorities but they didn't believe a 9 year old girl. She looked overwhelmed. The first paragraph was from the newspaper.. they lied about it. Elizabeth was scared from the beginning, from when I saw her on the same summer, same day. She ran her fingers through her blonde hair and walked with caution. I remember I ran to her family's estate but I over heard something I should've not known..

I read the paragraph over and over again, confused on why this was under my pillow. I was confused as how this can be a clue for the murders happening recently.. I was about to read another paragraph until I heard talking. I had the diary and envelope in my hand as I went close to the door to hear what they were saying.
"I'm just.. scared for her.. she doesn't seem like herself at all." Cara said softly.
"Well duh, she went through many cases that including violence.. seeing someone die in front of her, getting drugged, and much more.. of course she's going to be different and we need to be there for her." Conner raised his voice.
"She's pushing us away from her.. we are trying to help her but she won't.." Maddy whispers.
"That's Pippa.. she pushes people away from her problems... but we need to support her for anything." Ravi told them.
I took a deep breath and opened the door. They stopped talking and looked at me shocked.
"Pippa I thought you were asleep.." Maddy said awkwardly laughing.
"I found something under my pillow. I don't know who it's from." I said straight up leaning against the wall.
"Look we are so sorry you had too... wait what?" Cara said as she looked at me confused.
"Be careful with the pages.. it's from 1899.." I said handing them over to them.
"Holy shit." Conner said.
"And you found it under your pillow?" Ravi said still looking at me. Those eyes..
"Yes..I think it has to do with something of the case." I say as I looked at the envelope. I see something else. A letter. I grabbed it and it said:
Dear Pippa,
I know this is very, very confusing for me to send a diary but.. this might help you as it seems like thee Pip is stuck. Good luck.
Good luck my ass.
