ON THE NEXT DAY, Naomi went to the school a bit early. She wanted to explore it on the rising sun, also with the fact that she didn't properly explored it before.
She was walking on the empty hallways, avoiding the dancing janitor mopping the floor with his headphones on.
She passed by her locked chemistry classroom and her locker, yet she didn't stop. She wanted to memorize everything. That wasn't a hard job, of course. She has eidetic memory. The real, understandable reason she's really here in the school early in the morning.
Her memory was still sharp as ever, yet she felt like she was forgetting something. Something her powers is keeping from her. Also, with the fact that she's feeling a sense of Deja vu from people lately. People she haven't met before.
Like her power is keeping her from knowing something that she shouldn't know.
Eddie Munson.
She knew that she heard that name somewhere, way before when she actually met him -- or bump into him.
She just didn't know where.
"...Eddie Munson..."
She shooked her head when a familiar voice entered her mind. A memory of where she actually heard it, but from where?
The voice was owned by her twin brother, Naveen. Does Naveen know Eddie Munson? Told her about him?
She bit her lip in frustration. She was frustrated. She can control her powers, yes. But sometimes, it was having a mind of its own, keeping something from her, an information she shouldn't know because...
Because it breaks a law.
A law in the universe.
She stopped in her tracks. Staring blankly ahead. Did she learned an information that she shouldn't know when she was playing with the universe?
If she did, is it important?
Her head was so full of thoughts but quickly snap out of it when she felt goosebumps in her nape. That feeling. The same feeling when she passed the mall.
That same gnawing feeling she felt yesterday. She looked around her. Why was she feeling this way? She felt this uneasiness, uncomfortable feeling of something bad happening.
Is it from Eleven? Is Eleven feeling this too?
A minute from that, the light turned off, leaving her alone in the dark.
"What the hell?"
She looked around again, hoping to see the janitor she walked away from. She stood straight in her position and just looked around. Her head whipped when she heard a knock at one of the lockers behind her. She turned around quickly just to find no one was there.
"Hello?" She called, "if this is a prank, it isn't funny." She warned.
Her hand is itching to let some of her red force out, but she couldn't. If this is a prank, she'll get caught.
Again, a knock was heard in one of the lockers, this time, closer in her direction.
Her feet moved on its own and she started running. The lights started flashing, as she ran in the empty halls. The knocking in the lockers was chasing her, like it was invisible.
Her breathing became heavy as she run faster. Her hands fisted as it became clammy.
She was scared.
Her eyes started to water as she started running faster after hearing the knocking on the lockers getting closer to her.
She looked back just to see no one was following her. She, however, saw something moving. It isn't a person. It's like a slime or some shit.
A small black goo crawling in the doors of the locker, like a spider. It's jumping one locker to another creating the knocking sound.
But what was it?
She turned around and saw the pathway leading into left and right. She didn't think much and turned left right away.
She shouted when someone touched her shoulder and she flinched away.
"Naomi!" She looked at Steve shaking her awake.
She looked around and saw she was still standing in the same spot before she ran away. She looked behind her and watched the lockers.
She was dreaming?
"Are you okay?" Steve asked worriedly.
She let out a shaky breath before nodding, "yeah, yeah, I'm fine."
"Are you sure?" Steve asked again, wanting to be sure.
"Absolutely." She said back while still looking around, cautiously. Steve looked to where she was looking before he caught the fear in her eyes. He decided he needs to do something about that.
"You know what, let's go for a walk."

"I heard that you're here, I just didn't expect that the rumors are true." He started.
"Let me guess." Naomi smiled and looked at him, "Dustin."
Steve chuckled and shooked his head before nodding at her.
"Dustin." He admitted.
"Dustin is a real gossiper." She nodded at him, causing the man beside her to laugh.
The two is currently walking around the school grounds with no destination. The school seems a lot more peaceful with no students, which seems a bit ironic.
"I don't want to intrude," Naomi looked at him sideways, "but, umm, how are you?" He asked, nervously.
Naomi smiled at him and nodded, acknowledging his respect for her privacy.
"I'm good." She answered honestly.
"Are you?" He asked.
"Yes." She said.
Steve smiled at her answer, "good."
"Hey, umm," Naomi started, "I don't really know the clubs in here and I, somehow, want to enter one." She said.
"Is there a chance you'll tell me the clubs around here?" She asked. Steve immediately thought the girl beside him needed a distraction from all of the things happening in Hawkins and immediately agreed.
"Sure, no prob." He said, rubbing his palms in his jeans to warm his cold hands, "well, there's the sports club or teams. I'm part of the Hawkins Basketball Team, it's my last year and I'm doing a bad job at it this year." He said.
"I'm sure you're just distracted." Naomi comforted the visibly upset man. She wondered what could make this man upset about basketball? She heard Steve's been doing a rather great job at Basketball all these years. What makes it different this year?
"Well, I'll get over it. There's the Volleyball Team. If you like playing volleyball then that's the club you'll want." He smiled at her, she grimaced in return, "what is it?"
"I don't really know a lot about sports." She admitted.
"Okay, so not sports club." He said to himself, thinking before his face contorted into realization.
"I'm sure the Cheerleading Club will immediately took you in." He said. Naomi nodded at his recommendation and thought about it.
"Okay, is there anything else?" She asked
"Well there are other clubs but some of them has a really bad reputation." He said.
"Really? Like what?" She asked, curious. Naomi jumped around the mud puddle to avoid getting stains in her shoes before turning to Steve
"Well, for example, there's the Hellfire club. It's a club that plays DND. It's dumb really, people thought it's a club for Satanists but they just played DND, just like Dustin." He defended, more like defended Dustin.
Naomi nodded in agreement and amazement. Dustin's bond with Steve is a thing that she'll always envy.
Steve amazed her.
They heard a loud car grumble. They turned just to see a students' cars parking one by one. Naomi looked at her watched just to see it's almost seven in the morning.
"Well, it has been nice talking to you." Naomi said.
"Yeah, what's your first period? I could walk you." He suggested. Weirdly, Steve's talk with Naomi somehow made him feel better about himself. Someone he could be comfortable with.
"Chemistry." She said, smiling at him before they continue talking about random things on the way to her Chemistry class.
