I still couldn't t believe what Mrs Sarah told me at work today, it was, shocking to think the woman i've worked for almost two months now growing so close with her is the same woman whom, Erick despises due to the fact she abandoned him.
Lost in thoughts i could feel a buzz from my laptop on the bed and it was Erick video calling. I picked up.
"Hey Princess"
"Love, how are you?" i ask, i could see his baggy eyes from lack of sleep, and he looked tired, but still he's sexy, with his messed up hair that manages to compliment his beautiful face.
"I'm just stressed out, and i haven't seen your face in a while so that's why i called, i really can't last another day without kissing you baby"
"Babe, i feel same too, i really miss you and your hugs, besides a lots been happening lately, if only you were here i wouldn't be so confused on what to do" I tell him.
"What do you mean?, a lots been happening lately, you okay princess?"
How can i possibly tell him on a computer screen an issue that's going to make him emotionally wrecked he might not even concentrate anymore on his project, its best he finds out when he's back.
"And your face looks kind of sad and a bit pale, Sapph don't keep things from me tell me princess whats the issue?, is it your grandfather again?, i swear if its him then he's going to see my other side" He said after my awkward moment of silence
"No its not him babe, its just an emotional scene happened at work today, and it was touching" I told him
"What scene?" He asked.
"Well, umm a customer met with her long lost son today, she abandoned him when he was young and just found him, she was really regretful and was willing to make up for the lost times for her son"
"She shouldn't have abandoned him then if she truly loved him in the first place, is the child a property that you just abandon when bored and come back to look for when your in the mood again?, i don't feel sorry for her" He said showing no sign or remorse.
"Erick, if your mom was to come back?, would you give her a chance in your life?, if she was truly apologetic and remorseful for what she did?" I asked hoping he'd still have a bit of longing for his real mom
"Sapph, the only mom i know is Mrs Jackie Thompson, she's the one who took care of me and raised me i know no one else in my life and i don't intend to be part of someone who already left me when i was just a baby"He told me.
I could feel the hatred in his eyes, somehow deep down, i felt pity for Mrs Sarah.
"Why don't we change the topic, did i tell you about Bosi recently?" He said changing the topic.
"No what about him?"
" He confessed something to me before my trip, he said had a thing for Agnes"
"Well that's good isn't it?"
"Yeah i would be happy for the two of them if they become a thing, at least my friend would seize his flirting ways and they look good together don't you think?"
"Yeah actually they do look good well hope for the best, i even have to study for a test tomorrow"
"Well i'll watch you study while i go through some files"
I giggle a little .
"Erick what if i fall asleep?"
"Then i'll watch you sleep till you wake up"
"Well i cant say no to your offer, it sounds tempting"
I said while grabbing my textbooks to read for Tristan's class tomorrow.
From the minutes to hours and i read for about two to three hours while chatting with Erick, before unknowingly falling asleep.
I didn't even know i fell asleep, until the next morning i could see Erick doing his morning exercises through the screen, when i woke up.
"Morning Princess you awake now?, you slept off while reading till morning , i didn't wanna wake you up"
"Really?, i must have read a lot"
"Yeah i'll be going to work in about thirty minutes"
"No problem its okay i have a test to write today and a class i have to go on time to, i'll call you after class okay?, I love you"
"Sure thing babe, i love you more" And then he ended the call with him blowing air kisses, and me blushing.

It was 9am and i zoomed off to class, where Lissa sat behind me.
"Girl, you okay, you look rather pale"
"I'm okay just going through a phase, i'll tell you right after the test"
I could see Tristan, getting the test papers ready for distribution.
"Alright class, as you all know this test carries 75% of your grade for this course, and if you got to have an A, you have to ace this test, i wish you all luck".
The test took 45 minutes, but i was confident in my answers. After the test i could see Tristan calling for my attention before i left the class, so i walk over to see him.
"Hi Tristan" i gave a warm smile.
"Hi sapph, i'm sure you aced your test, just wanted to check up on you and about the issue the other day with your boyfriend, i hope i didn't cause any issues between you two"
"No its fine, actually we resolved it so we are good now"
"Really?, thats great, umm about that project your working on it right?"
"Yeah i am almost done tho, and it'll be ready soon, and i'll bring it to you, for your final inspection"
"Sure" after an awkward while of silence between the two of us.
"Well have a nice day Sapph" He Said.
"You too Tristan", i said walking over to meet Lissa who was waiting for me.
she had her cheeks fluffy, nd i knew when she reacts that way she was gonna say something stupid, or annoying again.
"So Sapph, when are you going to tell me, whats going on between you and our professor"
"Jeez nothings going on, he just asked about the project'
"Oh really, like i'd believe that, have you seen the way he looks at you?, even during class he'd find ways to glance at you any moment he gets"
"Your saying nonsense Lissa"
"Believe what you want but your professor has a thing for you"
"You mean our professor" I answered back.
"By the way Sapph, what did you want to tell me earlier ?"
"Well i found out the most shocking news yesterday my lady boss at the pastry shop, is Ericks biological mom"
"Are you kidding me?, girl hearing all these from you makes me feel your lifes a soap opera"
" Tell me about it, and to think I've been working for her close to two months now and she has shown me nothing but kindness"
"Have you told Erick about it?"
"I wanted to, but i cant bring myself to, its not in my place to tell him its Mrs Sarah's, he might get upset i didn't tell him but i just cant bring myself to tell him"
