Everyone was very happy tonight, except for Hoseok. Lalisa had drunk a lot of liquor and was zonked out. Jennie was a bit drunk and rushed to sing a song on the stage. Sitting on the sofa and cupping her chin in her hand, Lalisa watched Jennie sing ‘My Darling’ on the stage.

Having a tender voice, she was suitable to sing this folksy song. Lalisa liked this song a lot, even though it had been blacklisted years ago by her. Yes, Jungkook had introduced this song to her.

She used to enjoy listening to Jungkook singing this song for her with his deep yet mellow voice. Lalisa shook the glass in her hand and listened to her soft voice, but what was on her mind was the deep, cello-like voice of another person singing her favorite lyrics: My preference for you is too blatant, unrestrained, wilful and lawless.

At the end of the song, everyone applauded and Lalisa said, “It sounds so beautiful. I’d like to sing it too.”

Jennie picked the song for her with a smile and handed her the microphone. Lalisa took it over and the song began. She sat on the stool with her eyes closed, feeling every word of the lyrics. Every single word that left her mouth carried a strong feeling.

Mino narrowed his eyes at Lalisa sitting on the stool, wondering, “Why is this woman just like a riddle? She is only twenty-three years old and comes from the countryside, yet I always feel she has plenty of stories to tell.”

Sitting on the sofa, Jennie smiled, poured herself a glass of liquor and looked at Lalisa who was singing the song with her eyes closed. Although the rhythm of the song was hard to master, and its lyrics were not very easy to remember, she sang it well. Jennie couldn’t help exclaiming, “It sounds so nice. I love her singing.”

Yoongi smiled and looked straight at Lalisa without speaking.

Taehyung and Jimin were also very proud of their little fairy sister.

When Lalisa came to the part “My preference for you is too blatant, unrestrained, wilful and lawless,” she put all her emotions into this song as if she were singing for Jungkook. Just then, the door of the private room was suddenly pushed open, and the people in the private room all turned their heads only to see a few people standing at the door. Minhyuk stood up with a frown and was about to speak when a stunningly handsome face appeared before their eyes.

Stunned, the crowd fell silent.

Clatter… fizz… buzz… The microphone fell to the floor making static noises.

Lalisa stared blankly ahead at the sudden appearance of the man who had just been on her mind, and tears began to gush out of her eyes.

Jungkook listened to the familiar yet strange melody of the song, which he hadn’t listened to for a long time because his heart would feel like it were going to break every time he did so.

Taehyung was the first to react and got up to greet Jungkook. “When did you come back? Why didn’t you tell me?”

Jungkook looked around at the crowd with a straight face before resting his eyes on Lalisa, who was still standing on the stage and looking at a loss. Then he pushed aside Taehyung who was standing in front of him and walked towards Lalisa step by step.

Everyone was surprised at this and their eyes followed Jungkook.

Taehyung didn’t know how to react, while Yoongi frowned. He had noticed how surprised and bewildered Lili was when she saw Jungkook. The microphone slipping from her hand revealed her real emotions.

Moreover, Jungkook was looking very dangerous right now.

Did they know each other?

Jungkook stopped in front of Lalisa and looked deeply at her face covered in tears. Then he suddenly grabbed her hand and walked towards the outside. Lalisa, who hadn’t fully recovered, almost fell down upon being yanked over by him. Jungkook’s action instantly angered Yoongi; he lunged to his feet, reached out to stop Jungkook and said coldly, “Let her go!”

Jungkook’s eyes darkened. He stared at Yoongi coldly and snapped, “Get out of the way!”

Lalisa looked up with glazed eyes, trying to see Jungkook clearly, only to find that her tears blurred her eyes, making it impossible for her to see clearly.

Yoongi said, “Let go of my sister!”

Jungkook glanced back at Lalisa and then said coldly, “Don’t make me say it again!”

“What are you doing here, Jungkook?!” Taehyung felt that something was wrong. He came forward, tugged on Jungkook’s hand and said seriously, “Keep cool. Now let go of Lili.”

Jungkook shouted angrily, “Little Five, are you guys dead?”

Little Five and Little Six immediately rushed in with their men and the room became filled with people. Little Five said to Taehyung helplessly, “Mr. Taehyung, I’m sorry, but you know Young Master can’t control himself when it comes to Miss Kwon.” His voice was so low that only Yoongi and Taehyung who were close to him could hear.

Taehyung frowned and was about to speak, when Lalisa said, “Brother, Mr. Jeon may have something to tell me. Don’t worry. I’ll come back soon.”

After saying that, Lalisa took a look at Jungkook, who released her hand and walked out by himself. He said coldly, “Little Five, watch them and don’t allow any of them to come out.”

“Don’t go too far, Mr. Jeom!” Minhyuk stood up. “We’re not your men. You can’t order us around!”

Jungkook’s face turned cold. Just then, Lalisa tugged at him and in a commanding tone, she said, “Let’s go out.”

Jungkook took a deep look at Lalisa, but said no more and turned to go outside.

The crowd was dumbfounded. The corner of Little Five’s eyes twitched as he asked the other men to back off and apologized, “Sorry, sirs. Go ahead with your party. We’ll be out there. Call us if you need anything.”

Mino sneered, “We’re prisoners. How dare we trouble the prison guard, Master Five?”

Little Five wiped away the sweat from his brow and inwardly complained about his young master for the hundredth time before backing out.

Minhyuk narrowed his eyes at Taehyung and asked, “Dare you speak to Jungkook like this?”

Taehyung frowned and didn’t say anything. He finally realized what was wrong; his sister’s reaction was strange and Jungkook’s was even stranger. This had to be the second time he had met Lili, but why did he obey her words? And he remembered that Lili had previously asked him about Jungkook’s story, but why did she look so familiar with Jungkook just now?

On the balcony, exposed to the midnight wind, Lalisa sobered up a bit. She hugged her arms around herself and smiled at Jungkook, saying, “I thought it would take you a little time to find me, but I didn’t expect you to do it so soon.”

Jungkook’s face was cold. Looking at the beautiful girl in front of him in the moonlight, he asked in a cold voice, “Who are you?”

He had checked all the data on her, only to find that she had nothing to do with Lalisa. How had she gained access to Lalisa’s email box. Was it because…

“Kookie, don’t speak to me like this.” Lalisa said, tears running out of her eyes. Jungkook’s cold heart suddenly jolted because of her tears. He grabbed Lalisa’s shoulder and asked angrily, “Who the hell are you? How do you know Lali’s email address and password?! Why did you pretend to be her and send emails in her name?”

Lalisa smiled bitterly. “I thought you would always recognize me no matter what I become,” she whispered, looking at Jungkook who suddenly froze. “Kookie, I am Lali.”

As if struck by a bolt out of the blue, Jungkook looked deeply at Lalisa and said coldly, “Don’t make me ask you for the third time!”

“I don’t know why!” Lalisa cried out, biting her lips as she looked at the man who disbelieved her. She continued, “The plane suddenly jolted so violently that I fell into the sea before I had any time to react. I saw myself blown to pieces and when I woke up, I had become Min Lisa.”

“Are you really Lali?” It appeared like Jungkook believed her.

Lalisa paused. She had thought it would be difficult to convince Jungkook.

Lalisa jumped forward to embrace Jungkook and her tears wet his clothes. She nodded hard, saying, “Yes, yes, yes, I’m Lali. After I woke up, it didn’t take me long to accept the fact that I had become Min Lisa because I’m still alive. At least I could try to go back to Grandpa. At least the people who wanted to murder me failed.”

“Then why didn’t you tell me about this when I met you in the sanatorium?” Jungkook’s voice was low and hoarse. He remembered her looking strange when she had seen him in the sanatorium the other day, but he hadn’t paid attention; he had merely gone to the side to make a phone call and then saw her talking with his mom before coming over.

Then he had heard her saying, ‘Aunt Jeon, your son is really handsome.’

“Of course it’s because I was still mad at you back then.” Lalisa released Jungkook’s hand and smiled sadly. “You didn’t come to me after so many years. Of course I was angry. Besides, I had suddenly become Lili at that time. If I rushed up to your face and told you that I am Kwon Lalisa, you’d probably have had me locked up in a mental hospital.”

Jungkook looked at the girl who was telling her story in a light tone and a twinge of pain flickered across his eyes. Lalisa sat on the ground and looked up at Jungkook, saying, “It’s only when Taehyung told me what happened to you in those years past that I found out how much you suffered, how you tried to contact me.”

“No one told you I wanted to see you?” Jungkook asked with a frown. “Qin Yeri didn’t tell you about me going to your home to see you and sending many emails to you?”

Lalisa’s heart sank. Suddenly, countless images flashed through her mind. She shook her head and smiled before replying, “Yeri loves you, but we didn’t notice it. How could she have possibly told me about those things?”

Jungkook narrowed his eyes. It was as he had expected—that woman had played tricks between the two of them!

Lalisa reached out her hands to Jungkook, who came over to her, took her by the hand and pulled her into his arms. He then said in a low voice, “So you called me when you knew what I did for you, but you didn’t dare to speak, so you sent me an email?”

Lalisa nodded. “I was afraid you couldn’t accept this unimaginable story. When you asked me just now, I was still afraid that you wouldn’t believe me, that you might even push me down from this place.”

“If you didn’t tell me that you’re Lali, I may really have pushed you down from here.” Jungkook hugged Lalisa so tightly as if she would vanish if he were to let go of her. “Whomever you are now, it’s enough that you’re still alive.”

“You already knew that I’m Lalisa before I told you, didn’t you?” Lalisa looked at Jungkook, who wasn’t someone that would believe in others easily, especially when it came to matters concerning her.

Jungkook nodded and replied, “I only suspected it, but since Little Six tracked down your IP address, I began to realize something. The way you spoke to me in the school, and the email…” At this point, Jungkook’s eyes became blurred as he continued, “and I felt like I saw the current you when I was in Long Beach…”

While Lalisa was stunned, Jungkook added, “I checked Min Lisa’s past, including when she was at the Hengshan Middle School. Her academic performance wasn’t very good, and she was very unconfident. However, the Min Lisa attending the First High School of City A is just like a different person. Her academic performance is good and she is confident and bold.”

He didn’t know the old Min Lisa, but he was very familiar with the new one.

Lalisa hugged Jungkook tightly. “Thank you, thank you for loving me so much.”

At this point in time, the seven people in the private room had become impatient. It had been nearly an hour since the two of them left! Yoongi stood up and made to open the door to go out, when Little Five immediately came up to stop him. He said with a laugh, “Mr. Min, could you please wait for a while? Our young master will return your sister to you soon. Please do me a favor and don’t disturb them, okay?”

Yoongi cast a cold glance at Little Five and said in a cold voice, “Get out of the way.”

Instead of backing up, Little Five looked at Taehyung imploringly. “Mr. Taehyung, please talk to Young Master Min. You know our young master’s temper. He’ll be angry if he doesn’t achieve his purpose. We’ll be the ones to suffer then!”

Minhyuk walked over and said angrily to Little Five, “We know your young master is odd—we’ve become almost accustomed to his odd temper after all these years—but Lili is just a little girl. Your young master never had a tender heart for the fair sex. What if he hurt Lili?”

Little Five smiled and said, “Mr. He, you’ve got the wrong idea about our young master. He knows how to treat a lady.”

Mino raised his eyebrows as he asked, “Didn’t your young master go to build a factory in the Pacific Ocean? Why did he suddenly hurry back? Is it because he heard the daughter of the Min Family was very beautiful, so he came back to chase her?”

His words immediately exasperated the Min brothers. Seeing that he had succeeded in sowing discord among them, Mino smiled triumphantly and no longer spoke.

Jennie also frowned. She didn’t think Lili could withstand Jungkook’s ‘torture’, although he hadn’t looked very angry when he was going out.

But as a capricious person, he might be rude to Lili…

The crowd was being worried, when Lalisa and Jungkook came along side by side. Though they didn’t speak, the others could see the smile on Jungkook’s face, while Lalisa looked delighted too.

Seeing the crowd look at him, Jungkook came over and gestured for Little Five to leave. After Little Five left, he said, “Just now, I had something to ask Lisa. Sorry that I was a bit rude. I’ll pay the bill tonight.”

“What was so important to make our Mr. Jeon come in person?” Mino asked with a grin. “And in such a hurry at that.”

Jungkook turned to look at Lalisa and said with a smile, “I just asked Lisa whether she’d like to be my girlfriend.” He spoke in such a calm tone of voice that it was as if he were saying the weather was good today.

Lalisa grew wide-eyed; she hadn’t expected Jungkook to say what he did. He was just trying to stir up trouble!

Sure enough, Yoongi pounced forward to throw a punch at him. Jungkook easily dodged his attack and stared at Yoongi coldly, saying, “Mr. Min Yoongi, if you want to fight, let’s find a spacious place.”

Taehyung grabbed his brother’s hand, stepped forward and cast a deep look at Jungkook. “What do you mean by this, Jungkook?!” he asked in a cold voice.

Jungkook looked at Taehyung, and then looked around at the crowd, answering, “I meant what I said.”

Jimin looked darkly at Jungkook, then turned his eyes to Lalisa and asked coldly, “Lili, tell me what’s going on here? When did you come to know Jungkook?”

Everyone looked at Lalisa. It was easier to ask her than Jungkook.

Jungkook also looked deeply at Lalisa. The latter forced a smile and replied awkwardly, “I don’t understand what he’s talking about. Mr. Jeon, that’s not what you asked me just now.”

“Then what did he ask you?” The crowd asked in unison.

Lalisa touched her head. Sure enough, once you told a lie, you would have to tell another lie to patch up the first. This was really tiring!

“As I have a good relationship with Aunt Jeon, I promised to go to accompany her every Saturday, and her condition did improve as a result. But because I stayed in the hospital for a week, Aunt Jeon stopped eating after visiting me…” Lalisa swallowed before continuing, “Then Mr. Jeon found out that his mother wasn’t eating, so…” Lalisa tried to continue, only to find that she couldn’t.

“Are you referring to the days when you were in a coma?” Jennie asked.

Looking gratefully at Jennie as if she was her savior, Lalisa nodded hard and replied, “Yes, yes. I explained it to Mr. Jeon just now, so we’ve cleared up the misunderstanding.”

“Jungkook, you made such a fuss just because of this trivial matter?” Hoseok said, shaking his head. “You gave us a fright.”

Jungkook raised his eyebrows and sneered, “Do you mean to say that my mother’s health is a trivial matter?”

Hoseok immediately apologized, “Sorry, I was wrong!”

Why was he blamed at every move? Was he under a curse?

While the others believed Lalisa’s words, the Min brothers didn’t. Little Five had said that Jungkook was talking to Lili because of Kwon Lalisa, and Lili had been looking so strange just now; it was clear that she was trying to make up a story but couldn’t straighten out her lie in the end.

Taehyung said, “It’s past two o’clock now. Lili was just discharged from the hospital and shouldn’t go back home too late. Let’s go home.” He looked at Jungkook and continued, “We all drank tonight. Can you drive us home?” Then he turned his eyes to Little Five and Jungkook’s men and finished, “You lot send the others back home.”

Little Five looked at Jungkook, who gave a nod in response.

Little Five thought Young Master must have found the answer he wanted to know, as he wouldn’t be so calm otherwise. He even saw Young Master smile!

Little Five looked uncertainly at Lalisa and thought to himself with a frown,‘Is this Miss Kwon? But she doesn’t look like her!’

As the crowd dispersed, the Min brothers and sister got into their car with Jungkook. Jungkook drove, while Lalisa sat in the co-driver’s seat. The others narrowed their eyes and got in the backseats without saying anything. As soon as the door was closed, Taehyung asked in a cold voice, “Jungkook, you’d better clarify what’s going on. Aren’t you looking for Kwon Lalisa? What does it have to do with Lili?”

Jungkook took a deep look at Lalisa, but she looked out of the window. She thought she’d better keep silent now.

Jungkook looked back at the three as he started the engine, saying, “What do you want to know?”

Yoongi asked, “Why did Little Five say you couldn’t be calm when it came to Miss Kwon? And why do you treat Lili so differently?”

Lalisa’s heart plopped down; Yoongi really was a person of keen perception. It seemed that they were going to find out that she was not a little fairy…

Alas, it had been so hard for her to make up that lie, but it was going to be exposed so soon.

Jungkook looked sideways at Lalisa, swerved the car and drove it directly to the entrance of the central park on the corner, where he said, “Get off.”

Everyone got off the car and so did Lalisa. She subconsciously made to walk towards Jungkook when Yoongi grabbed her collar and dragged her towards him. Lalisa hurriedly stopped her feet, turned around and smiled at Yoongi. “Yoongi~”

Yoongi gave a grunt in response before looking at Jungkook, who proceeded to grab Lalisa’s hand and walk forward, ignoring the Min brothers. Taehyung took a deep breath and gritted his teeth as he said, “Jeon Jungkook, don’t make me beat you. Let go of my sister!”

Jungkook held up Lalisa’s hand and looked at the three. “Ask her whether she wants me to let her go?”

Lalisa was actually tempted by his act, but she pretended to be angry and shouted righteously, “Release me!”

Jungkook froze and looked sadly at Lalisa, who felt her heart ache. She said softly, “Okay, you can hold my hand. Just hold it.” Alas, the man seemed to have learnt to take advantage of her guilt and was continuing to act pitiful and innocent in front of her since he found out about her guilt towards him on the balcony… Was this person really the Jungkook she knew?

Where is your pride? Where is your self-esteem?!

A hidden smile trembled on Jungkook’s lips and a soft gleam flashed through his eyes. Yoongi couldn’t bear it and threw a punch him. Jungkook reacted by pulling Lalisa behind him and going over to fight with Yoongi. Ten minutes later, neither of them had managed to beat the other. Sitting on the lawn, Lalisa poked at Taehyung and asked, “When did Kookie learn Kung Fu?”

“Lili!” Taehyung widened his eyes in shock. When had they become so intimate that she called Jungkook ‘Kookie’?!

Lalisa, realizing that she had made a slip of the tongue, chuckled and continued to ask, “Yoonhi is a Kung Fu master, right? But why do I feel they’re on the same level in this aspect?”

After twenty minutes of fighting, the two men finally reached a truce because neither of them could beat the other. Jungkook said with a laugh, “Mr. Min Yoongi is really a worthy Special Forces soldier. You’re really good at martial arts.”

Yoongi replied with a snort, “President Jeon isn’t bad either.”

Taehyung stared at Jungkook wide-eyed as he asked, “How do you know my brother’s identity?”

Jungkook rolled his eyes. “Do you think everyone is as dumb as you, not knowing about your own brother’s job despite living under the same roof as him?”

Jimin said, “Jungkook, don’t keep us guessing. Spit it out—what happened between you and Lili?”

Jungkook was silent for a while before replying, “Lali had an airplane crash on July 9th.”

Yoongi frowned. “What does this have to do with Lili?”

Taehyung said, “Lisa was hospitalized in a car accident that day, remember?”

Jungkook nodded. “Then what else do you want to ask?”

Something suddenly occurred to the three brothers and they all looked at Lalisa in astonishment. Lalisa pursed her lips, smiled and said apologetically, “Sorry, brothers, I really didn’t mean to deceive you all, but the matter about me coming back to life after death is simply beyond belief, so I didn’t know how to tell you about it.”

“But you…”

“I acquired those abilities after I woke up in another girl’s body. I don’t know why it happened.”

Lalisa told them about the abilities she had suddenly acquired. Listening to her, Taehyung and Jimin were dumbfounded. Yoongi suddenly looked up at Lalisa and his voice was very hoarse as he asked, “You mean you’re Kwon Lalisa?”

Lalisa froze. She suddenly looked at Yoongi, who looked awful under the street light as if he were just rescued out of water, but she had admit it—she had to tell Yoongi about this cruel fact—so she nodded and answered, “Yes, brother. I’m actually Kwon Lalisa. I’m sorry for lying to you all this while.”

Hearing her calling him ‘brother’, Yoongi almost couldn’t suppress his heartfelt pain. He froze and gazed at Lalisa. Yes, even if she was Kwon Lalisa, she was now Min Lisa who was his sister. He could only be her brother in his life. His heart ached, but soon he told himself that fortunately, she was still alive even though she had to live as Min Lisa.

Taehyung’s reflex arc was relatively long and thus it took quite a while before he pointed at Lalisa in astonishment and exclaimed, “So you have so many special abilities not because you’re clever or a genius, but because you’re Kwon Lalisa!”

Lalisa replied with a shrug, “Taehyung, even though I’m Kwon Lalisa, I’m still a genius,” then with a grin, she finished, “I’m smarter than you. You can’t deny this.”

Blech… Taehyung almost vomited blood. What kind of sister did he have? And why did he have such a sister?

The corner of Jimin’s eyes twitched. He looked blankly at Lalisa, then at Jungkook, and finally at his two brothers, asking, “So, what are you going to do now?”

Jimin finally knew why Lalisa was able to speak fluent French back in that French restaurant and why she was confident that she could be admitted into University A within a year. As far as he knew, Kwon Lalisa was the pride of the whole Empire Group. She had received her MBA from Harvard University when graduating from Capital University, and she was proficient in a dozen different languages…

Jungkook asked coldly, “Do you want Lali to come home with me now?”

Although he was eager to stay with her, he knew that Lalisa wouldn’t agree. She got along well with the Min Family people, and he could tell that she liked her family very much. But if they alienated her because of her identity as Lalisa, he would…

“Of course not!” The Min brothers exclaimed with one voice. Taehyung glared at Jungkook as he said righteously, “Lili is our sister. Why should she go back with you?”

Lalisa smiled. From this, she could feel the shift in Yoongi’s mind. She truly appreciated that Yoongi didn’t say anything unacceptable at this point, and was even more grateful that they still believed her so much even after coming to know the truth.

They sat by the river for another two hours, after which they had almost sobered up. Jungkook took a look at his watch and then sent them back. Taehyung laughed along the way, saying, “Oh, Jungkook, I never expected that a day would come when you would have to call me Third Elder Brother. This is truly karma!”

Taehyung had been acting complacent ever since he learned Lalisa’s true identity. He wanted to laugh out loud at the thought that Jungkook would have to gain their consent in order to marry Lalisa.

Jungkook scowled and glared at Lalisa, who shrugged in response, looking so innocent. She asked, “Do you want me to die?” She thought she might have to choose between death and rebirth in Lisa’s body.

Jungkook fell silent. If he had to choose between fawning on Taehyung or Lalisa dying, he would definitely choose the former. He looked at Taehyung from the rearview mirror, gritting his teeth and warning, “Be careful! You just wait and see.”

“Hahaha…” Taehyung shook his head and laughed. “Okay, I’ll see!”

He was sitting between Yoongi and Jimin. When Jungkook saw his smug smile from the rearview mirror, he snorted, suddenly stepped on the gas and turned the steering wheel. Yoongi immediately grasped hold of the handrail, as did Jimin. Lalisa also grabbed the handrail and shot a dark look at Jungkook. Caught off guard and having no handrail to grab because he sat in the middle, Taehyung suddenly fell on top of Jimin. As Jungkook turned the steering wheel again, he was thrown back onto Yoongi. He broke out into curses. Jungkook sneered and turned the steering wheel harder. After countless turns, Jungkook suddenly braked and Taehyung, staring ahead wide-eyed, was jolted from the middle seat towards the front with a bang and almost bumped into the console of the car.

Taehyung was about to curse Jungkook when he suddenly felt sick. He opened the door in such a hurry that he couldn’t even wait for Yoongi to get out of the way; he jumped over him and got out of the car, rushing to the roadside and starting to vomit under a tree.

Jungkook opened the door to get out of the car, leaned against the hood, looked at the miserably vomiting Taehyung and sneered, “Satisfied?”

Taehyung hugged the tree he had thrown up all over as he looked up and angrily pointed at Jungkook, saying, “Jeon Jungkook, you know what, you’re not going to marry my sister!”

Jungkook shrugged nonchalantly and replied, “That’s not up to you.”

They drank until midnight, stayed in the central park for two hours and messed around on the road, so by the time Jungkook sent them home it was already six o’clock in the morning and the sky was already getting bright. Soohyun was jogging in the garden when he saw them return, following which he stopped and scolded them with a frown, “Jimin, Taehyung, don’t you two know your brother and sister were just discharged from the hospital and need a good rest? How could you take them out and play all night long!”

Jungkook got off the car and said hello to Soohyun. When the latter saw Jungkook, he paused and then came up to him with a smile on his face, saying, “Oh, Jungkook, why are you here? I heard you were abroad recently.”

Jungkook also smiled and said hello to him. “I received a phone call from Taehyung, and he said they couldn’t drive because they drank, so I stopped by to pick them up.”

Taehyung glared at Jungkook, wondering how he could be so cheeky! He was talking through his hat! Then he glanced at Lalisa, who had been deceiving them for months, and pursed his lips, thinking they really made a perfect match, both being good at making up lies.

Lalisa greeted Soohyun with a yawn and then said, “I’m going upstairs to bed. Don’t disturb me.”

As she passed Soohyun, he caressed Lalisa’s head and said lovingly, “Go back and have a good rest. Go to school tomorrow.”

Lalisa smiled at Soohyun sweetly without looking back at Jungkook. Unwilling to apart from her, Jungkook watched her go upstairs. How could this girl leave without saying goodbye to him?

Taehyung snorted triumphantly, saying, “I’m going upstairs to bed too.”

Yoongi said to Jungkook, “Thank you, President Jeon. See ya.”

Jimin also waved goodbye to Jungkook.

Jungkook narrowed his eyes and spoke to Soohyun again. “Secretary Min, are you having a morning jog?”

Soohyun replied with a nod, “Yes, my family has the habit of getting up early for exercise. It’s good for health.”

Jungkook also nodded, looked at the villa beside Soohyun’s and smiled as he asked, “Who is living next to your house? They don’t go on morning jogs?”

“It’s an overseas Chinese family. They’re currently abroad and rarely come back. I hardly meet them,” Soohyun answered. “President Jeon, why don’t you have breakfast with us?”

Jungkook shook his head. “No, I have something to attend to. I must go now.” He turned around, but then looked back and said, “Secretary Min, please tell Taehyung not to drive to work. I’ll be driving his car to the company, so he can drive it home when he gets off work in the afternoon.”

Soohyun nodded with a smile in response and continued to run. Sitting in the car, Jungkook made a phone call. Soon someone answered and Jungkook ordered coldly, “Give me Taehyung’s attendance record in recent years.”

“Why do you need it, President Jeon?”

“Just bring it to me,” Jungkook said coldly, hanging up the call.

Taehyung was awakened from his sweet dreams by a phone call. He answered the phone grumpily and said coldly, “You’d better have something big to tell me!”

“Taehyung, I just want to tell you that if you don’t come to work on time today yet again, your bonus of 30 million yuan this year will be gone, and your salary will also be deducted accordingly.” Jungkook’s cold voice came from the telephone. “I hire you to work, not to fool around.”

Clatter… He had hung up the call.

Taehyung was sitting on his bed with a confused face and messy hair. If it were not for the fact that he was holding a mobile phone in his hand, he would have thought he was dreaming. Suddenly, he thought of something and shouted loudly sitting on his bed, “Jeon Jungkook, I’m gonna kill you!”

He had just abused his power to retaliate against him!

Oh, sh*t, he said he was going to deduct his bonus! Besides his thirty million yuan bonus, he would also deduct his salary!

I’m going to jump ship!

Then a noise came from the other side of the wall, followed by a growl from Jimin. “Shut up! I’m sleeping!”

Taehyung became even angrier, jumped up from the bed and kicked fiercely at the wall. I can’t sleep, so you can’t sleep either. The more he thought about it, the angrier he became. In the end, he simply opened the door of his room and rushed over to Jimin’s, shouting, “Why must I go to work while you can sleep?!”

“Why must I go to work while you can sleep?!”

“Because the company is mine, and I have the final say.” Jimin glanced at Taehyung with sleepy eyes and gloated, “An employee like you won’t be able to understand employers.” Then he laughed and asked, “Why did you mess with Jungkook? You should feel lucky that he doesn’t pull you out of bed and toss you over to the company.”

Being hurt by his own brother after being picked on by his boss, Taehyung was on the verge of being devastated. He rushed up to Jimin and pounced on him, hugging onto him tightly with his hands and feet and saying pitifully, “Jimin, I’m your brother, right?”

Jimin attempted to kick him away, shouting, “What do you want?”

Taehyung hugged onto him even more tightly. “Jimin, how about I go to work in your company? I can be a game tester. I’m going to the company now to hand my resignation to Jungkook.”

Jimin pushed at him hard, saying, “Go away, I don’t want you.” With a sudden effort, he pushed Taehyung down from the bed. Taehyung sat on the ground dumbfounded and stared at Jimin as he asked, “How dare you kick me off the bed!”

The corner of Jimin’s eyes twitched. “Please, don’t go mad in my room, okay? Go wash your face and go to work.”

Taehyung remained sitting on the ground, unmoving. “Why don’t you go to work, while I have to go to work?”

“Because Yoongi is on leave, I’m the boss, so I can go whenever I want to go, and Lili is also taking leave to recuperate…” Jimin replied, looking at Taehyung as if he were looking at a poor little boy. He continued, “As for you, you messed with Jungkook, even though you happen to be his subordinate, so accept your fate and kneel down to your boss, Brother.”

Taehyung suddenly jumped up from the ground and shouted to Jimin excitedly, “Jimin, let’s take Lili to settle abroad so that Jungkook can’t find us all his life, and then I’ll be able to get my revenge!” How dare he abuse his power to pick on him?! D*mn it!

The corner of Jimin’s eyes twitched. “Brother, don’t act like a baby, okay? My company is just starting now. I don’t want to go bankrupt.” He stood up and patted Taehyung on the shoulder, adding, “Besides, do you think Jungkook wouldn’t be able to find us? And do you think Lili is so gullible? Be good, my brother. Listen to me. Don’t be stupid. Don’t seek death.”

Taehyung, crestfallen, went back to his room to change and go to work.

Soohyun was sitting in the dining room and having breakfast. When he saw Taehyung coming down, he said to him, “Tell your brothers and sister to come down for breakfast and then go back to sleep.”

Taehyung pretended not to hear him, and went down to eat breakfast. “They don’t need to go to work. Why do they need breakfast? Why not save some food?”

Soohyun sneered, “You can eat less to save food.”

Yeji went upstairs to call the others down for breakfast.

Taehyung glared at his father as he cried out, “How can you be so partial! I’m going to work. I’m going to make money. Why can’t I have breakfast?! Sh*t!”

“Lili is going to school, Yoongi is making contributions to our country and Jimin owns a company. They’re all better than you!”

Taehyung immediately grew angry as if his sore spot was pricked and snatched the deep-fried dough stick from his father’s bowl, saying, “I want to eat it. I’m going to gobble up all your money! What can you do to me?”

Soohyun laughed out loud as he said, “You brat, how dare you talk to me like this? I’m your father! Aren’t you afraid of your grandpa’s crutch?”

“Leave me alone.” Taehyung bit hard into the deep-fried dough stick, thinking that he had to try to keep Jungkook away from Lili. He swore to make Taehyung regret doing this to him!

All of a sudden, the sounds of a house being renovated could be heard. Taehyung frowned, wondering, “Who’s renovating their house? I remember the villas around ours have been sold out. Who’s doing the renovation?”

Soohyun took another glass of milk and a piece of bread before replying, “I don’t know. Maybe the house next door was sold and the new owner is renovating it.”

The brothers and sister came downstairs one after another. Taehyung asked with a frown, “Wasn’t the house next door not for sale?”

“Maybe they’re renovating it because they’ve come back from abroad.” Soohyun finished his bread, drank some milk, and went over to kiss Yeji who had just come downstairs. “Honey, I’m off to work.”

The brothers and sister were all dumbfounded. Were they showing PDA in front of them?
