There once was a wise old man who questioned the point to hope for things that are seen. He concluded, confidently, that things unseen are to be hoped for!

I speculated as to what he could possibly mean:

Did he mean that all things here and now are fading?
Did he mean that things seen here are evading?
Could he possibly be thinking
that there was more beyond our line of vision?

Maybe, what is beyond what our eyes can see is far more worthy of our time —
More-over, our present circumstances and situations are not worth comparing
to what comes next — according to the wise old man

What is it that you hope for
What is it that you expect to come next
What future do you see play out behind the lids of your eyes
What do you pray for — in unheard cries, in soft songs whispered as lullabies, in moving lips that make no sounds, in letters written to nobody and hidden in the ground
