In a daze, Kaede stumbled out of the locker and fell on the floor.
"Ahh!?"
She was unable to even brace for impact as a pain suddenly rushed through her head
"Gghhh... Owww..."
The fall had managed to snap her out of her dazed state. Now she was rather annoyed.
"...Huh? Wait, where am I? What is this place?"
She rubbed her throbbing forehead, knowing that the fall was definitely going to leave a bump. Kaede then looked around
."...A classroom?"
The room was definitely some sort of classroom as there were desks and a podium, but it also had a bit of a futuristic vibe to it. Overall Kaede didn't recognize it.
"Where am I...? What am I doing here...? Oh! Is this a dream!? I just have to pinch myself, right?" She pinched her cheek, but all that did was make her head hurt in two places rather than one.
"Ummm... Okay, hold on a sec. Let's stay calm and think this through."
The blonde tried to remember how she ended up here, but with no luck.
BAM!
"Whoa!!"
Suddenly the locker next to her started swaying and shaking, making all kinds of noise. As Kaede fearfully turned around, the locker door slowly opened and a boy came stumbling out
"Hnnng..."
A normal boy dressed in a school uniform... in fact, he might be a high school student, too. He looked bewildered, and when he slowly lifted his head...
"...Ah! Aaugh!!!"
He screamed as if he had just seen a monster, fell on his butt, and scooted back.
"Wh-Who are you!? Are you with those other guys!?" The boy asked nervously
"...What other guys?"Kaede asked, a bit startled by the boy's reaction
"The people who kidnapped me!"
"Kidnapped?"
"Wh-Where am I...? What are you gonna do to me!?"
"Hey! Hold on!" She firmly gripped the boy's shoulders
"What's your name?"
"...Huh? Ah, I'm... Shuichi Saihara."
"I'm Kaede Akamatsu. Now listen to me, Shuichi... Shut up! You're not the only one who's confused right now!"
"Ah, sorry..."After making him shut up, Kaede retraced her steps
"...That's right. I was kidnapped, too!" She said
"I was walking my usual route to school when all of a sudden, someone shoved me into a car. I shouted for help, but nobody came to rescue me... Everyone pretended like nothing happened... it made me think how rotten the world is... And then, I lost consciousness... And when I woke up, I was inside that locker..."
