To me every character in the manga is a badass. 0.0. They all have something special about them that's going to interest you. Besides their badass powers. There is a lot more to Ichigo Kurosaki, the main character if you continue to read the manga.
So I don't spoil to much its like this. Friends become enemies, enemies become friends, gain allies, and a hell of a lot of fighting.
Its also an anime and just as popular as Naruto.
