"Taiwan, wake up please." I cracked open my eyes to quickly shut them when a blinding light seared into my brain. "Are you alright, dear?"
"Yeah, just tired is all." I mumbled groggily to Miss Katch, roughly rubbing my eyes as I reluctantly sat up.
As the teacher smiled warmly and turned back to her brain numbing teaching, my friend Philippines leaned over to me, his chair creaking slightly as he whispered in my ear, "Did you not have enough for your usual caffeine induced boba tea?"
"So I've been tight on money for a few days, so what? You wish you lived a lifestyle like me." I retorted quietly, rolling my eyes as a small smile crept onto my face.
