The One where Nana Dies Twice

"I mean, is that not ridiculous?! Can you believe she actually thought that?"

Ever since Chandler had arrived at Monica's apartment he had been non-stop talking about the incident of his coworker thinking he was a gay man. Everyone had remained silent, allowing their friend to rant and rave to his heart's content before adding their own comments or thoughts on the situation. However, now looking for everyone's unanimous compliance that the thought was indeed preposterous silence had rung out in the apartment. Everyone eyed the other, waiting to see who was brave enough to let slip their true thoughts.

"Um...yeah" Racheal agree unconvincingly, her eyes returning immediately to her Chow Mein as to avoid Chandler's questioning glances, though unsuccessful. " Well, you know, I thought maybe...possibly you might be."

"You did?" Chandler asks in disbelief, not truly believing her.

"Yeah, but then you spent Phoebe's entire birthday party talking to my breasts so then I figured maybe not."

Pondering on this revelation, Chandler looks around to the rest of his friends. "Did any of the rest of you guys think that when you first met me?"

"I did."

"Yeah, I think so."

Right then the front door opened revealing a tired-looking Ronnie. The preteen made her way into the kitchen to make herself a plate of food, dressed in her favourite blue plaid pyjama pants and Astroboy sweatshirt, she trudged over to the couch collapsing right next to Monica groaning.

"I'm so tired!" She whined.

"Bu, bu, bu! The adults are talking about a serious crisis here." Chandler chastised, wiggling his finger at her. "Besides it's not my fault that you didn't do your homework last night to watch a late-night movie. You were supposed to be in bed by 9 pm."

"Okay 1) I don't see any adults here" Ignoring the offended looks Ronnie lifts a second finger. "2) I did my homework that was due for today yesterday, I just decided to prioritise my history project for today, and finally 3) technically the pillow fort me and Joey built to watch Indiana Jones could count as a bed."

As an attempt to bring the heat away from him, Joey tried to revert the conversation back to Chandler's plight, shooting Ross a look to back him up. "Well, not me."

"No, no. Me neither. Although ya know, back in college Susan Salidor did." Ross remembered.

"You're kidding! Did you tell her I wasn't?"

"No," Ross answered. "I kind of wanted to go out with her too so I told her actually you were seeing Bernie Spellman who also liked her so..."

"Mr Torres asked me if you were single before," Ronnie mentioned absent-mindedly, now sitting with legs crossed while munching on her orange chicken.

Chandler snapped his head. "What?! Your Science Teacher? Well, what did you say?"

"That you are," Ronnie said as if she were stating the obvious.

"Why would you tell him that?!"

"Cause you are single."

Chandler begin to reflect on the information that had just been presented with. "Well, this is fascinating. So ugh, what is it about me?"

"I don't know, maybe cause you're smart, you're funny...

"Ross is smart and funny." Chandler interrupted. "Did you ever think that about him?"

"Ha, ya right!" Phoebe laughed, causing everyone else to join in.

"What is it?!" Chandler shouts in desperation, only for the laughter to continue.
