Hacking: something many of us fear. When we think of hackers, we think of cyber criminals that hijack banks and credit cards to steal money and/or private information. when we think "hacker," we think of the monochrome monitors and quick typing of Hollywood movies. However, what society makes you think isn't always how things are. In fact, there is a group of hackers called "white-hat hackers." White-hat refers to the hackers as legal, under-the-law hackers. They are paid by companies to test their security.
Another term for these hackers is "penetration testers," or "pentesters" for short. In this book, I will be teaching you how to hack white-hat, and how to protect yourself from malicious outside script kiddies. Oh, I'm too far from myself. I forgot, you might not know the terminology yet. Well, let's fix that.
