I jumped down the stairs with my lovers behind me, they were much less bouncy but were grinning at my energy. "Nice of you to join us!" Hawk exclaimed, making me giggle. I patted his head then transformed into my fox form, "Do you get lonely being the only animal, Hawk?" He was shocked, making me giggle again, "We should get going," Merlin proclaimed before Hawk could answer. Meliodas picked me up in my fox form and patted my head as he walked out the door. Istar was interesting, hidden by magic in a rocky archway. We crossed through and three priests greeted us: Jenna, Zaneri, & Theo. The three of them eyed Zeldris and I, we were suspicious to them. Meliodas and Elizabeth started to go with Zaneri when Jenna stopped them, "Meliodas, come here a second," she called to him. We were all confused then shocked when she threw a ball of light magic directly at me. Unsurprisingly, Meliodas and Zeldris immediately jumped in front of me, the former yelled "Full Counter!" and threw her magic back at her. "What the fuck was that about, druid?!" Zeldris growled, Jenna had a small look of shock on her face before she composed herself and looked at Zaneri. "Meliodas' trial will be different now, Zaneri. As you can plainly see...Vipin is his sálufélagi..." Jenna explained. Zaneri's jaw dropped but it was clear Jenna wasn't exaggerating, the rage Meliodas was exuding towards the druid for throwing an attack at me was immense.

After Meliodas and Elizabeth went with Zaneri once my blonde lover calmed down, the rest of us went with Jenna to the tower on the left. Zeldris and I stood off aways from the group, he wasn't particularly interested in fraternizing with them as he still saw them as his enemy. We overheard Jenna speaking with Merlin about me, "Merlin...since when is Vipin Meliodas' sálufélagi? I thought after Vylera..." Merlin paused for a moment, deciding how she wanted to answer, "I'm surprised you haven't noticed, Jenna. The resemblance is uncanny." Jenna stared at Merlin with a confused look on her face to which Merlin returned a smirk, "Vipin is Vylera's daughter she had with a fairy." Jenna gasped and responded but I didn't hear her as I jolted into a standing position. Meliodas. He was in pain, what was happening? "Vip, where are you going?!" Zeldris shouted after me, confused from my sudden movement. I didn't answer, instead making a beeline for the right tower where my blonde lover was. "Vipin? What're you-" Elizabeth started but I ignored her and rushed over to Meliodas. "Don't touch hi-" Zaneri tried but I held my hand out at her and used tree roots to wrap around her arms and legs. "Fuck off, druid," I growled, unsure where this hostility was coming from. "Hold on, Mel..." I whispered as I cupped his face in my hands and closed my eyes.

I opened my eyes, I was suddenly in the demon realm when I caught a glimpse of my mother heading towards a portal to Britannia. I chased after her, what was she doing? I'd only gotten to speak with her once through the magic she'd left behind when I was born, I wanted to speak with her again. She slowly walked into the cave to which I followed. I thought I was sneaky enough but she was suddenly behind me with a sword at my throat, "Who are you?" she growled. I started trembling, this was an illusion Zaneri put in Meliodas' mind not my mother's magic that had resided in me before. She took a deep breath and exhaled slowly, removing her sword from my throat. I turned around, her mouth dropped in shock, "W-why...w-why do you look just like me?!" she exclaimed. I smiled softly, "Papa always said I looked just like you, Momma..." I spread my wings. Her eyes widened, "...Momma?" her voice was barely above a whisper. Tears stung my eyes, "Yeah. Lapis is my father..." I choked out as I stared into her eyes that I'd inherited like a carbon copy. "But...but Meliodas...w-what? I-I just didn't want to be the Queen..." she choked out, her own tears welled and spilled over. I hugged her tightly and whispered, "It's ok, Momma. I'll take care of Meliodas for you."

She pulled away and looked at me even more confused, "What do you mean by that?" I smiled and wiped her tears away, "I know you're just an illusion and I'm not really speaking with you but...you'll end up breaking your bond with him and falling for Papa. And...Meliodas is my other sálufélagi. Zeldris was my first...he's gonna be okay, Momma." It looked as if a thousand different emotions were going through her, before she could answer Meliodas appeared looking distraught. "Mel!" I exclaimed and ran up to him to hug him tightly, he was confused as well but for another reason. "Vip? How are you here?" he asked quietly, he was looking at me lovingly but when his eyes shifted to my mother, they were filled with pain again. "Meliodas..." she breathed out, Mel let go of me to walk over to my mother slowly. "Vylera...I loved you so much. I'm sorry I didn't listen to you back then and it still hurts me that I lost you but..." his voice trailed off as he turned partially to look back at me before he returned his attention to my mother. "You leaving destroyed me...but Vipin...she's everything to me now and I'm so happy that she's in my life. I hope you were happier once you left, I hope the time you lived in Britannia was everything you ever wanted," his voice was so quiet, a mixture of love and pain. She hugged him tightly and stroked his hair, "I truly loved you Meliodas..." her vivid mulberry eyes flicked up to me. "Love him twice as much for me, sweet forest baby," she whispered then disappeared. Meliodas turned back to me and scooped me up into his arms and kissed me passionately.

I opened my eyes at the same time as Meliodas, he smiled softly at me. "I felt your pain, I couldn't leave you like that," I choked out in a whisper, tears trickled down my cheeks. He wiped my tears away, "Thank you, Vip."
