Chapter 8: The Battle of Starcourt

"Stop! Stop!" El yells.
Jonathan looks at El, and removes his finger.
"I can do it." El said, while sobbing.
El sits up.
"I can do it." El said.
Then El uses her powers to get the thing out of El's leg.
El wails in pain.
"God!" She yells in pain.
El screams.
She screams so loud that the glass behind us broke.
I yelp and covered my head.
El's still screaming, but she got the thing out of her leg.
Then El throws the thing away with her powers.
It was still moving, but someone steps on the thing.
We look up.
We saw Hopper, Joyce, and... Who is that?

"The Mind Flayer, it built this monster in Hawkins, to stop El, to kill her and pave a way into our world." Mike said.
"And it almost did. That was just one tiny piece of it." Nancy said.
"How big is this thing?" Hopper asks.
"It's big. Thirty feet, at least." Jonathan replied.
"Yeah. It sorta destroyed your cabin. Sorry." Lucas told Hopper.
"Okay, so, just to be clear, this... this big fleshy spider thing that hurt El, it's some kind of gigantic... weapon?" Steve asks.
"Yes." Nancy replied.
"But instead of like, screw and metal, the Mind Flayer made its weapon... with melted people." Steve said.
"Yes, exactly." Nancy replied.
"Yeah, okay. I mean, I-- Yeah, I'm just making sure." Steve said.
"Are we sure that this thing is still out there, still alive?" Joyce asks.
"El beat the shit out of it, but, yeah, it's still alive." Max replied.
"But if we close the gate again--" Will got cut off.
"We cut the brain off from the body." Max said.
"And kill it." Lucas said.
"Theoretically." Lucas said.
Hopper sighs.
Then suddenly we hear a mans voice.
We look at the man.
"Yoo-hoo!" The man said, while waving around the papre he's holding.
"Yoo-hoo." He said.

The man slams the papers to a small dining table at the foodcourt.
"Okay, this is what Alexei called 'the hub.' " the man said , while pointing at a map that is drawn by a guy named Alexei.
"Now, the hub takes us to the vault room." The man said.
"Okay, where's the gate?" Hopper asks the man.
"Right here. I don't know the scale on this, but I think it's fairly close to the vault room." The man said.
"Maybe 50 feet or so." The man said.
Erica steps forward to them.
"More like 500." Erica said.
We look at Erica.
