It was the year 2022 after the covid-19 outbreak and the world's population has decreased by 50%.
So in turn the government of every country has come together to try and solve the matter at hand.
And the solution to the problem was The Marriage Law.
This was their way of solving the problem.
The rules are:
The names of people 18 to 35 all around the world that are not married or engaged will be in a container in England where for a month or two they will be pulling names out to get the pair that will be married. Those who are still in school are allowed to continue their study.
They will then have three months to get to know each other and then they will be married.
After they will have one year to have a child. In that time they should have a child or be pregnant with a child. Those who can't get pregnant will have to get a medical report saying so and they will have to adopt a child.
When going to adopt they will have to show the orphanage they go to the medical report.
