Haunted by the ghosts of a Renaissance past, Renee Michele (Mother Metaphor) is a poet, a novelist, a fashion designer, model and a - photographer. She utilizes the 'eye' gifted to her from spirits past and imparts upon the world a vision not seen by the naked eye. With her camera and/or pen in hand, she hangs metaphors for the world to view the normal through a lens of abnormallacy. She is Harlem born and bred, her pen has been possessed by the likes of Langston Hughes, Zora Neal Hurston and Countee Cullen while her camera lens creates a love that photographs reminiscent of James Van Der Zee generate. Her background includes 20 years in fashion/make-up artistry/photography. The compilation of the arts creates a space for the world of Renaissance artist to look for and find their own niche. She is the author of "Lock, Stock & Smoking Metaphors" and the the newly released "ENAMORED: The Love Letters," both now available on-line for purchase.
