Finnish Journalist and Writer living in Malahide, County Dublin, Ireland.
I've worked as Editor and Editor-in-chief in local newspapers, as TV Script Writer for Finnish versions of game show Weakest Link and the Finnish modified version from shows Never Mind the Buzzcocks and They Think It's All Over, as well as writing TV sketch comedy before moving on to literature.
Crime-themed novel Meduusa was awarded the third prize in Kouvola Crime Literature Festival 10th anniversary novel contest in 2006. The second crime-themed novel Palava sydän (Burning Heart) continued the Isaksson series in 2008. Short story collection My Hometown Named Love was published as an e-book in March 2012 and the updated versions of Meduusa as an e-book in July and Palava sydän in October the same year. The Finnish version of My Hometown Named Love was published as Kotipaikkani on rakkaus in the same month as an e-book.
My first e-book for children, Karkaileva bussi ja kaiken maailman ihmeelliset vempeleet, (Runaway Bus and All Other Marvelous Contraptions), children's story collection, was published in November 2012 as an e-book, as well as the story collection for children and adults, Haikarasaaren vauvasatama ja muita tarinoita (Heron Island Baby Harbour and other stories).
My debut novel Meduusa has reached eight times the #1 spot in iTunes Finland top100 e-book chart in October 2012 - January 2013. Meduusa and Palava sydän have both reached #1 spot in iTunes Finland Mysteries and Thrillers chart in November and December.
Meduusa was also chosen to Apple iBookstore Best of 2012 Top Fiction category in December 2012. It is one of all-time most sold e-books in iTunes Finland.
