Sequel to Mortuum's Calling --------------------------------------------- I shuddered at the prolonged wailing and crying that echoed throughout the area. It scared me to think that this may be how every survivor is: mentally and emotionally torn apart into nothing but a wailing, empty corpse. I didn't notice it until now that the air stunk heavily of iron and smoke. I looked to my feet at the floor to find sticky, red blood, pools of it. I quickly stepped away, my footprints red and sticky from the spilt life. Vlad noticed as well, tugging at my arm and pointing to what looked like a trail, going into the wide, open hall ahead of us. Vlad leans close to my ear, his breath warming, and whispered,"It could be through here. Step lightly and if you hear a trilling sound like water, run. And do not, on any circumstances, turn around." ---------------------------------------------
