Raeyln September's life has gone to the pits. Literally. She's nearly homeless, barely affording to pay rent. McDonald's is the life source for her food intake. Raeyln knows she desperately needs to find a job, any kind, as long as it allows her to stay in her tiny apartment. So when her best friend points out an ad for a position as a personal assistant at a high-end company, Raeyln is ecstatic to have the opportunity to be interviewed. The problem is, the boss takes forever to finally interview her and she is barely hanging by a thread. To actually get the job would mean living comfortably in her apartment and not having to eat takeout every night. However, the job also includes working around the boss's son, Everett Clement, a stoic man that is the exact opposite of her. It would be a surprise if Raelyn could make it from day to day without throttling Everett Clement. One night soon changes all of her negative thoughts she ever had towards the man she comes to find is not as cold-hearted as he appears and a friendship soon develops.
