Dan Howell has always been driven, always wanting to excel in all of his lessons and extra activities, refusing to quit anything he does. However, by the young age of fourteen, he is overwhelmed by everything he's juggling. He breaks down and sprints to his safe haven, only to find a black-haired boy around his age already taking up Dan's spot. Although Dan and Phil don't exactly start off on the right foot, they become fast friends and the most important parts of each other's lives. They do everything together, and their friendship grows stronger as they grow older. However, over the years of knowing each other, Dan's feelings for Phil morphs into something else. But what will Dan do when he finds out that Phil also has these exact same strange fluttery feelings - feelings that Phil doesn't feel for Dan but for someone else?
