Ronnie Summers is a broken girl. The life she leads is full of secrets and lies, and she's grown used to it. It wasn't always this way though. Her mother father and herself were such a close, perfect family, until her mother died of cancer when Ronnie was seven. Her father became an alcoholic and beat his only child. When her father is put in prison when she is about to turn sixteen, Ronnie is sent to live with her favorite Uncle Paul and Aunt Sophie in Holmes Chapel, England. It would be a big change from living in New Jersey, but she didn't really have a choice. She was going to stand out, when all she wanted to do was blend in and go unnoticed by those around her. The less people she let in, the less feelings she would have to let out. Ronnie doesn't mind being alone, she doesn't have to pretend that everything is okay that way. She meets a boy that she believes is just like the others. He's a player, and he has the looks to go along with it. When she meets Harry will that all change? Will Ronnie open up to this boy that she barely knows?
