It’s a phenomenal achievement to write a book. Whether it’s a collection of poetry or short stories, a novel, or a work of non-fiction, it takes a lot. And, even though more and more books are being published each year, if you’ve completed this monumental task you are still in the minority. Ask around and see if anyone else you know has written a book. Unless you’re living in a writer’s commune (and if you are please forward me the contact info), then you’re pretty special. If you haven’t reached the point where you’ve completed your project yet still want to have your words read and see them on the page there are options available to you. I’ve put together a short list of opportunities for new writers that will help you experience a little bit of that elation. And, hopefully this will help encourage you to reach that next level. I wish I’d had this list of resources when I still had that dream and struggled to find the discipline. The ultimate accomplishment is of course writing and creating and producing and finishing.
