Caden Roland returned to Bayfield, Australia after his parents' divorce was finalized. His mom, relieved and happy to see him, and his old friends welcomed him warmly. However, there was an enigmatic atmosphere surrounding Bayfield. On his arrival, Caden and his mom drove along the roadside near the beach, leading them to encounter a mysterious girl. Something about her intrigued them, and they found themselves compelled to help her, especially Caden. With her unusual appearance, piercing blue eyes, and cascading dark hair, she was undeniably unique. Concluding that the girl was homeless and an orphan, Mrs. Roland made the compassionate decision to take her in and named her Pearl. Pearl's transition from the water to living with the Caden and attending high school was surprisingly smooth.
