"I miss the person you were," he admitted. An uncomfortable silence settling between us. I didn't know what he wanted me to say. So I continued to sharpen the knife I was working on. The sounds of blade against stone, ringing out clearly in the darkness. A few long drawn out moments passed and I paused to check the sharpness of the blade. Pursing my lips as I ran a finger along the edge, happy with the results, I set the knife down on the table in front of me. Folding my legs beneath me I leant back on my hands as I turned to look at the figure who stood so uncomfortably in my door frame. "I gutted that bitch from the inside out, whoever I was before... That girl is long dead," my voice was cold as I spoke.
