Reality is harsh for Adrian Calamein at 20 years old, and he thinks he's dying. His vision is faltering and his body has been weak and sluggish ever since he moved out of the college dorms. Searching for a doctor who knows what they're doing, he runs into a girl he knew from high school, Mercy Watermarks.
