Frank is getting older, but he is determined that he's not going to get old. When his wife suggests a special birthday present that's supposed to make him feel young again, he dismisses it as new-age mumbo jumbo. But for all his cynicism, Frank is willing to concede that he'd rather have new-age than old age, and revisiting some of the more exciting moments of his youth still has some appeal. But how old will he choose to be, if this hypnosis thing actually works? This is a mature book; it includes considerable reminiscing about Frank's teen years, and experimentation with his first girlfriend.
