Sage is volatile, self-obsessed and stubborn. She has a temper shorter than a fuse and has been told on many occasions that she does not play well with others. But the one thing Sage isn't is a firm believer in the supernatural. So when her aunt and their entire family are murdered with only one Walcott left to tell the tale, she accepts the fact that death isn't always fair. For once there's no reason to get angry. But having a father that works for the FBI, Sage knows the case is far from closed. With no choice the freshman is left to move closer to a side of the family she never had the chance to know and watch as her life unravels before her very eyes. Finding herself clashing with an explosive young lacrosse player and numerous trained killers, Sage will soon have to decide between living with acceptance or discovering the secret that led to the Walcott's murder. A secret that could cost Sage her own life.
