What is the point of life?
This is something rebellious teenager, Vie Wistern has asked herself a lot the majority of the past few months. She isn't brave like other girls or confident in her own skin, something a any run way girl should have. She doesn't know what she wants to become or even what she likes. For Vie, it has always been whatever Josie needed her to be; a dancer, a waitress, a model. She has walked through scrutiny and pitchy shoes to meet her foster mother's demands, but now it's vie's time. After an extreme (and humiliating) act of rebellion, vie is shipped off to Morton, Illinois, a small town two hours away from any major city. In a place of complete unfamiliarity, she finds herself discovering the simplicity of life and complicated way of finding balance between family and self. It is about finding perfection in the messy bits of life and trust in faith. This is a coming of age story infused with religious inspiration and love of all types.
