The solstice travellers' transit opens with the dawn. It has taken me years to learn enough to even attempt this, fittingly under a full moon. She would laugh at that. But then, it may be she knew and that's why she chose the name. Now, I will never know. If I have the place and time correct, I will be in the lands she claimed our kind came from. If not ... well, either dead or better, still a migrant. Don't want to think of the other possibilities. I quit asking myself long ago "What if I had known this change was coming when I woke that hungover morning?" Over the years, I have not so much accepted as consented to the change. The things I have learned on the journey brought me a new respect for myth and legend. People have always known what they observed and science tends to gloss over what it doesn't understand as simply impossible. The one thing I have accepted, life is not a simple journey for everyone. Mine hasn't been anyway. It's filled with love and death, mystery and unsubtle emotion. The motives and needs of others and myself can lead places unexpected. It is time. I leave this, if you will, my sojourner's solace in explanation of my life to any who are interested. WIP: Comments and corrections are welcome. Current posting is 1st draft and being updated.
