In case you couldn't tell, I meant social classes in the title. (Sorry for not making that clearer.) In 18th century England, Violet Ardley is trying to figure out life as a gentleman's daughter. She has never understood why people should be treated differently based on who their parents are. Nick Yearly is an idealistic chimney sweep living with the reality of poverty among the rich. He looks out for the other kids, trying to keep everyone safe. What will happen when he meets a kind, thoughtful young lady in the elite class? This is not a lighthearted Mary-Poppins type of chimney sweep. This is the stark reality of children sold into apprenticeship, dying because of neglect and malnutrition. These are young boys forced into narrow chimneys, who may suffocate under soot. Just a heads up :)
