They are known as the boys with matching scars. Emil Heartland and his three friends were attacked by a werewolf a year ago. They barely escaped with their lives, thanks to a fast-acting teacher who was in the right place at the right time. But the consequences of surviving the attack weighs heavily on all of them. Halfway through Senior year, Emil notices a strange scent in the air. It causes his inner-wolf to rise to the surface without warning and his secret is on the verge of being discovered. Suddenly, he starts blacking out as soon as the moon rises. He wakes up at dawn in the middle of nowhere, his body covered in blood, and with no recollection of how it got there. Missing persons start showing up on the news and the knot in Emil's grows tighter at the thought of his wolf-self murdering innocent campers. An FBI agent shows up and follows bloody tracks right to Emil's doorstep. Something is off, though. The clock is ticking to Emil to figure out where his wolf is taking him at night and how to stop it. He has to get control before the FBI agent finds out about his curse and his pack is exposed.
