THE CAT'S MAW

"And in that moment, a troubled boy made a desperate wish...and that wish bloomed, and became a dream." ~ The Cat's Maw ~ Welcome to the first book in my contemporary young reader fantasy series: THE SHADOWLAND SAGA! This is the beginning of a powerful and personal epic, intended to make you think and FEEL. A tale to REWARD you as it slowly tightens its haunting and mysterious grip. A story that sends you completely over the edge before it's through, and then lingers in your HEART long after the final page is turned. Deep thanks in advance for your comments, critiques, and support from readers adn fellow cat-lovers. I truly hope you enjoy your journey with me through through the Veil... Love from the Shadowland, ~BB~ **SYNOPSIS** In the sleepy town of Appleton, 10yr-old loner Billy Brahm follows a golden-eyed cat onto the road and is struck by a car. His leg is shattered, his summer ruined, and the course of his brief life is changed forever. When he returns home from the hospital, the mysterious cat is waiting for him. That night, dark and prophetic dreams haunt the boy -- visions that seem born of an impossible place, whispering a chilling message meant only for him. Is this strange realm the key to healing the young boy's broken body? Is the golden-eyed cat there to help him, or to usher the nightmares into the waking world? Too frightened to share the truth with his strict adoptive parents, Billy realizes that the only ones he can turn to are the country vet’s daughter, the town's 'crazy cat lady', and a robed, tea-drinking Mystic from his dreams... The tiger named Tao. ~

Can anyone please check out our new story, it's called Sides, and it's gonna get good.
I thought I was just previewing it for teens but I was hooked by chapter 3 and moved to tears at the end. Waiting (not patiently) for book 2.
Wow. Great opening. For a moment there I was reminded of N. Gaiman's Stardust!

Great writing style. I can't wait to read what happens next to Billy and the stinky pirates.
