The gritty tale of a team of Royal Marine Commandoes on a special mission in Iraq. A Persian order is recruiting and training children as suicide bombers to thwart the political process. The story begins following a team of Royal Marines training in the UK, knowing that something is in the air we watch them as they train and mentally prepare for the unexpected, the last training mission at sea with a nuclear submarine, the last party, and the last girl. The call comes and they are given orders to deploy straight into the war zone. In a botched mission in Iran has let a terrorist training cell escape, they are lost into the mountains along with their young recruits. We follow the almost comical problems that Mike has to face to go to war, and the planning process he goes through to give his men the best shot at surviving. The team begins its mission in true Commando fashion by high speed boat at night up the Tigris River, and then jumping from a helicopter into a black lake at night in an unknown and hostile environment, with all the boats and equipment. After lying in wait on a small reed island the team intercept the terrorists but a fire fight ensues, they are surprised to find the children and the lead character is shot by the lead terrorist and falls over board whilst trying to protect them. He watches as he is left behind by his friends, the enemy know he’s there and been left for dead. He now spends 2 days in a cat and mouse chase behind the lines, going through a variety of emotions and struggling to stay focused on surviving. His friends not knowing if Mike is still alive, fight against red tape, helicopter and troop shortages to get back to search for him, dead or alive. The lead character exhausted and out of options is finally cornered by his adversary, now outgunned and surrounded Mike has to fight for his life with what is around him, a fight to the death ensues. Will they all return safely and celebrate together with a ‘Breakfast at Babs’?
