The gunshots, screams - all still echoing in my ears. After surviving a brutal school shooting, Anna struggles to keep it together. With the help of a psychiatrist, she revisits her past with all its problematic relationships, a broken home, the boys she crushed on and who hardly notice her existence, and her interactions with Liam Wolfe, the boy who killed five people one morning in June. - Give Yourself Time To Bloom Complete

Ashlyn hasn't spoken a word since the age of eight, and her heart's never felt more protected. But, when the confident and ever so charming Derek stumbles into her quiet little world, her emotions-and forbidden desires-have never been so loud. ***** For twenty years, silence is all Ashlyn Holland has known. Haunted by the memories of her father, and the harrowing song of the ocean that stole him from her, Ashlyn maintains a safe distance from the rest of the world. Treading carefully the sea of fear and anguish that surrounds her, Ashlyn is determined to do all she can to protect her heart from such a tragic loss striking again. In silence, she grieves. In silence, she is safe. In silence, she finds the strength to breathe. But the silence can only last so long... Derek Moreno is charming and devoted, and quick to see through every wall Ashlyn erects. With his arrival in town, defences fold and walls begin to crumble, the songs of her heart reaching new heights. Together, they crest twin tides of fate, the silence she'd once sought engulfed by his gentle touch, and the whispers of a love thought impossible. For the summer, Ashlyn welcomes the noise. The disruption. But, the ghosts of Derek's past will no longer remain silent, and their deafening power has the potential to drag them both into a current strong enough to drown them amidst their heartache. ~ There's a thin line between a hunger to feel and thirst to rest ~ Anhedonia is my 1st poetry collection, which has a special place in my heart. Anhedonia is an inability to feel. This word came to my mind while writing these poems since its meaning could be perceived in many ways, just like my 1st poetry collection. While some of the poems highlight the darker days of depression, the other ones show the obsession of trying to strive for something - whether it be love, self-growth and expression, or rest. The inability to feel could mean the empty, hollow feeling in one's heart - just as much as it could mean one's inability to feel in a healthy way. I hope you find something in this humble collection that speaks to you, your heart, your life. - Under Water. Ongoing

Have you ever looked at somebody and wondered "what kind of person are they?" "What are their passions in life?" "What have they gone through?". We don't necessarily go up to random strangers and ask them about their life story.. but I am here to share mine through poems. I wrote these during my best times, worst times and at rock bottom moments. Some of these are also experiences I've had in my life. Come join me! Let me tell you a few stories about myself and what I have been through. Step into my soul, if you dare. SIDE NOTE - Most of these poems are about spirituality: Topics can stem from Angel numbers to some talk of Astrology. I understand that not many people are into spirituality and/or have different beliefs. Please note: these poems are NOT meant to push you into believing in these things. I understand that everyone has their own opinion and beliefs (if applicable.) I ask that you be respectful. If you disagree with these things, then that's okay too! There is also talk about mental health, some things may be triggering. This is a warning to read with caution. © All Rights Reserved. Credit to Canva for my book cover.
