As I write this letter to you, all I have to say is... I'm sorry. I'm sorry that I lied to all three of you. Living a life of lies has taught me that it comes with a price, and now I'm paying it. My name IS Rena Deveraux; that wasn't a lie. But I never wanted to be a Ranger... That's not why I was at the Ranger School. I am so, so sorry that I lied to you, but the truth is... I'm a thief. And you...you were my assignment, and I was to think of you as nothing more than that. It wasn't personal, I promise you. It was just business. I thought I could outrun the law my whole life and never get caught. Never did I once think that the law applied to me, or that my actions would catch up to me one day. It never crossed my mind...not even once. I was so confident, which made my downfall inevitable. I left my back turned for one second and I lost it all. No words can describe the feeling I get when I look at your face... That look of pain, and sadness... Your eyes are filled with nothing but hate and disdain when they meet my gaze. Honestly, I'm surprised that you haven't killed me for what I've done to you. I'm afraid this is the end, and I will never see you again. You can hate me for the rest of your life. I understand... What I did to you is unforgivable, and I don't deserve your forgiveness. I don't deserve to see your smile ever again. My biggest regret is that I will never get to properly say good-bye to you. So, I must do it in this letter. Good-bye, my Prince Charming. I will never forget you. Take care of Rhythimi and Isaac for me, and please...apologize to them on my behalf, since I can't do it myself. Oh, and one more thing, Keith. Assuming that you didn't just tear this letter up upon receiving it, I just wanted to say... I've told you a lot of lies since the moment we first met... But my feelings for you were never one of them. {Pokémon Ranger Shadows of Almia fanfiction; cover art was just photoshopped by me} - Rebel: The Inheritance System Complete

While Rey disappears after hearing a voice in the Jedi Temple, Poe and Finn set to work to rebuild the war-torn galaxy. And could Finn become truly one with the Force? And through their many adventures familiar faces from across all of the Star Wars galaxy may appear to help. First part first published on December 19 2020 - one year after release of The Rise Of Skywalker. This has just been something I've been writing for a while to pass the time during lockdown of 2020. For that reason the prose is simple but it's easy to digest. And note that I began writing the bulk of this long before Season 2 of the Mandalorian. Minor things have been since changed to keep with continuity but larger plot points that are difficult to alter that clash with continuity may remain. Also I don't own Star Wars ... so don't sue me Disney - you have enough money Also also if you like any of my original characters please ask if you want to use them. And if any of my original characters share a resemblance to characters from other works this is coincidental as I don't read Fanfiction myself anymore. I wrote up this story for my own amusement and then thought others may also enjoy it here. Also also also If you've read this far then you're a cool person. I hope you have a good day. - Parallel - A Virtual Reality. Ongoing

In the kingdom of Velyria, strict laws dictate the lives of its people, particularly their right to reproduce. Every woman must have exactly three children: the eldest inherits the family business, the second-born is conscripted into the military, and the third becomes a scholar. Breaking this law means brutal punishment-execution, exile, or enslavement. Merritt, an illegal fourth-born child, was spared execution but raised as an outcast after his mother's death. Now one of the best students at the Academy of War, he constantly faces prejudice despite his skill. His only real rival is Augustine, Velyria's second-born prince, who is destined to die in service to the kingdom's cause. When an enemy kingdom attacks, decimating Velyria's forces, Merritt, Augustine, and two unlikely companions-Everest, a boy haunted by the death of his twin, and Kaito, a servant born from a forbidden love-are sent to the front lines. However, everything changes when the four are captured by the enemy. Thrust into enemy territory, they must endure harsh treatment and witness the truth behind the conflict: both Velyria and the enemy kingdom are corrupt, using their citizens as pawns in a war built on deception. As they grow closer, the group faces impossible choices, finding small moments of hope amid the darkness. They bond with the enemy, especially with a noble who offers them a chance to defect. But this offer turns out to be a test, leading them into a deadly trap. When Augustine's father discovers their supposed betrayal, he gives them an ultimatum: betray the enemy kingdom or be exiled. Rather than comply, the four make a bold choice-they rebel against both kingdoms, determined to break the chains of their oppressive birthrights. **The Silent Chains** is a story of rebellion, friendship, and the search for freedom in a world where every life is controlled by unforgiving laws. - Heart Beat Ongoing

"Don't worry," he whispered, as he wiped away her tears. "Everything's going to be alright." And with that, the young man's eyes slowly closed, and his hand slipped from her face, shattering the lady's world. Each moment with him replayed in her mind like a cruel montage of what could have been. "Someday we will run away from here! I promise you that!" he happily said, smiling ear to ear, showing his deep dimples. "We're still going to the place where we will be happy and free, right? You promise me that." The promises they made under the rising sun felt like fragile whispers lost in the wind. "Hey, wake up now, it's already late. The sun's shining, you see? It's cold to sleep here." She clung to him, hoping against hope that he would open his eyes again, that his warm embrace would return. But reality, cold and unforgiving, held her tightly. "Wake up," she sweetly said, slowly stroked the young man's cheek. Tracing the lines of his face, memorizing every detail, unwilling to let go of the memory of his sweet smile, now forever frozen in time. "Your warmth, why is it fading?" Silence enveloped them both, suffocating the hope that had flickered within her heart. "Can't you still hear me?" "Please, wake up." Her pleas echoed through the empty space, bouncing off of her despair. She cradled his lifeless form. The realization of his departure hit her like a tidal wave, washing away the remnants of their dreams. She pressed her ear to his chest, desperate to hear the melody of his heartbeat once more, but all she found was the deafening silence of loss. "Your heartbeat, why can't I hear it?" In the midst of her anguish, she whispered to him, "Please, wake up." Her voice trembling with sorrow, her tears mingling with the stains of his blood and mud. Yet, in the stillness of that moment, the only response she received was the haunting echo of her own grief. "Wake up!" "Please!" She desperately cried those words as her tears kept dripping down from her face.
