Everyone at school knows Andrew Jennings. Missing an arm. Openly gay. But when he meets star athlete Ryan Sullivan in therapy, can friendship lead to more? ***** When Andrew 'Jacky' Jennings ends up in therapy after an English assignment gone wrong, he doesn't expect to find his high school's star athlete, Ryan Sullivan, sitting in the same waiting room. After all, he and Ryan couldn't be more different: football captain, future valedictorian, and all-around nice guy, Ryan is the school's golden boy, while Andrew is known for his permanent snarl, being openly gay, and losing his left arm (along with his father and sister) in a car accident. But when Andrew learns they actually have a lot in common, he's surprised to see past the enigma that is Ryan Sullivan and his seemingly perfect life. And as the two boys begin to connect over their shared grief, depression, and teenage angst, they might just discover a little pocket of happiness for themselves -- if they're willing to fight for it. ☆Time flies over us but leaves its mark behind☆ It shows how we reflect on society, how it reflects on us, how we reflect on each other and how we all are just a dot in the eternity of time. Everybody is a reflection of something in their past. Something someone said. Something someone did. Maybe it's a reflection of the choices we make. Each poem here is a reflection of atleast one person in the world. Because in the end, we are all reflections of each other. ▪︎Winner of the Enigma Poetry Awards 2020. ▪︎1st Place in the Belle Lettres Awards 2020. ▪︎1st Place in the CoronationAwards 2020 ▪︎1st place in the Summertime Awards 2020 ▪︎Runner up of the Harmony Awards 2020 ▪︎2nd Place in the Prosperity Awards 2020 ▪︎2nd Place in the Poetique Awards 2020 ▪︎2nd Place in the Shimmer Awards 2020 ▪︎Top 20 in the Poetry Awards 2020 ▪︎Honourable Mention in the Indian Legion Awards 2020 #4 in Slam Poetry out of 1.5K stories- September 16th, 2020 #6 in Reflection - September 16th, 2020 #7 in The Coronation 2020 - June 10th, 2020 #55 in Empowerment- July 30th, 2020 #87 in Free Verse - July 25th, 2020 #91 in feminism- July 25th, 2020 #44 in empowerment - July 25th, 2020 - An Exsanguination Complete

what's bad for the heart is good for the art. these poems are mostly about breakups. heartbreak can be beautiful and ugly. it can hurt and heal. it can be fake and real. find out which one mine is by reading... welcome to the shadows of my soul... disclaimer: it's very dark in here, but you mustn't fret. there's some fragments of light scattered throughout to help guide you along the way. that's the beauty of broken things... light always seems to make its way through the cracks your votes and comments (feedback) would be greatly appreciated! also, please do not hesitate to ask me to read your work. i'd be happy too xo - Truth About Poetry.
