Will there be a Unicorn? and Other Tales is a collection of short rhyming stories for kids which I'm updating as they come to me. The title story - Will there be a Unicorn? - has illustrations by the wonderful Sringkhala, more coming soon. One day I'd like to see it published as a picture book with really detailed, cute and funny illustrations. I imagine a unicorn on each of the early pages, out of sight of the protagonists but visible to the reader. Other stories include The Clever Young Witch and The Royal Pumpkin. #440 in Poetry 16th February 2017 #1 in Bedtime 5th January 2022 - Personal Poetry Complete

Principles on how to write powerful poetic passages, with explanations of how and why these rules work. I'm not saying I write great poetry by any means, but I do take pride in it. I've read on poetry in a few places, but Edgar Allan Poe's "The Poetic Principle" was the best; most of the following tips are based on that work. If you can, however, you should read the original, even though it can be a bit difficult to understand at times. Here, I've distilled the main points in modernized language.
