[Completed AND EDITED Novel] "You sure you're alright?" "Yep, I'm okay." I purse my lips, watching the little dust particles float in and out of the phone's light. "I got my required dosage for the night." "What is that?" "You." For as long as she can remember, Delilah has battled her demons at every waking moment. But one day, her expectations of life begin to disentangle when she has a chance encounter with a smiling stranger. Numbing her pain, his unwavering smile becomes an antidote to the shadows that plague her existence. A pain killer, if you will. Contains themes of suicide, anxiety, depression, and self-harm. Be aware, there is NO sugarcoating Now available as a hardcover on Amazon! ~ Pain Killer - Catherine Buchholz ~ GUYS, I EDITED THIS WHOLE THING a few comments have talked about Uri being a creep, and Delilah being a blank sheet (sound familiar? Twilight? anyone?) so i took into my able hands the job of: a. making Uri a better ML overall, he's nicer and more gentle which is what i strive for with my male characters in general. b. i gave a personality to Delilah. in the beginning, she was simply a face for my demons and mental issues, but when i decided to make this into a real novel, i had to face the fact that she was just.... flat-out boring and unrealistically blank (and selfish too... made me rethink my own views haha...). so hopefully this helps the book go smoother and everything. enjoy! - Waiting RoomWattpad Original Complete

Everyone at school knows Andrew Jennings. Missing an arm. Openly gay. But when he meets star athlete Ryan Sullivan in therapy, can friendship lead to more? ***** When Andrew 'Jacky' Jennings ends up in therapy after an English assignment gone wrong, he doesn't expect to find his high school's star athlete, Ryan Sullivan, sitting in the same waiting room. After all, he and Ryan couldn't be more different: football captain, future valedictorian, and all-around nice guy, Ryan is the school's golden boy, while Andrew is known for his permanent snarl, being openly gay, and losing his left arm (along with his father and sister) in a car accident. But when Andrew learns they actually have a lot in common, he's surprised to see past the enigma that is Ryan Sullivan and his seemingly perfect life. And as the two boys begin to connect over their shared grief, depression, and teenage angst, they might just discover a little pocket of happiness for themselves -- if they're willing to fight for it. ❝You're my best friend.❞ The chuckle that escaped from his lips stung as he shook his head in disbelief. "If I was your best friend," he paused, "then why didn't you keep in touch with me? Why didn't you call me? Why didn't you message me? Why did you just leave me, like I was nothing?" He sighed angrily, "and most importantly, why did you push me away when we both needed each other the most." A story of two formerly close friends who now are anything but a shell of the past friendship. Both, struggling to come to terms with their emotions. "Can't you hear my silent screams? They are so loud they echo in my dreams. Behind this face that carries a smile Lies a dark road that goes on mile after mile. My silent screams have been going on for years, But it always falls on so many deaf ears. How can they hear these silent screams in my mind? They can't hear my thoughts if I keep telling them I'm fine. What can I tell them? These silent screams carry no words. It's just feelings of sadness and darkness that come in its herds. How can I explain so people understand this? It's like walking around in a suffocating black mist. It's holding on to happiness like holding water in your hands. It just trickles between your fingers and disappears into the sands. I can't explain how this feels; it's so extreme, So I hold my mouth shut to cover my scream". Depression is something that we people are dealing with right now. Not having a shoulder to cry on or a therapist to talk to makes it even worse because fear starts running inside your head. People fake their smiles, but deep down inside they know they are dying. Every morning you wake up, pretending as if everything is going smooth because that's how we live in this world. Mostly, I want people to know that if you have a shoulder to cry one, someone to share your life with and telling him/her what you are going through, you'll soon heal. So here I am starting a movement called "HERE FOR YOU". It's slogan is "its OKAY to not to be OKAY, so let's talk" its main motive is to fight against depression, anxiety suicide and other such related issues. I know that we all are facing a pandemic but a little help is always appreciated. This movement allows the writers to share their own problems to the world to encourage them. The rules and how to participate in this movement will be published inside. If you don't want to participate that's completely fine but please don't show any hatred in my book. Please share your story to everyone and inspire them. - Poetry; My Only Escape. {A collection of my poems and thoughts.} Complete
