【COMPLETED】 When a friend is deep in depression, words often aren't enough to pull them out. But, words can offer hope, remind someone it's OK to speak up and help make sure nobody feels like they're completely alone. The pain of being judged and misunderstood is so strong that they will avoid the people in their lives, avoid sharing their feelings and pretend that everything is fine when in reality their pain grows as they continue to suffer in silence.they are not alone in the struggle, even though it might feel that way. - Mes Poemes Complete

Everyone at school knows Andrew Jennings. Missing an arm. Openly gay. But when he meets star athlete Ryan Sullivan in therapy, can friendship lead to more? ***** When Andrew 'Jacky' Jennings ends up in therapy after an English assignment gone wrong, he doesn't expect to find his high school's star athlete, Ryan Sullivan, sitting in the same waiting room. After all, he and Ryan couldn't be more different: football captain, future valedictorian, and all-around nice guy, Ryan is the school's golden boy, while Andrew is known for his permanent snarl, being openly gay, and losing his left arm (along with his father and sister) in a car accident. But when Andrew learns they actually have a lot in common, he's surprised to see past the enigma that is Ryan Sullivan and his seemingly perfect life. And as the two boys begin to connect over their shared grief, depression, and teenage angst, they might just discover a little pocket of happiness for themselves -- if they're willing to fight for it. [Highest rank: #1 in expression] I was in a bad place when I wrote these poems. Read at your own risk. Now I just look back and admire my rhyming skills though. All of these poems and quotes are thought up by me. I made them up from scratch and it is completely coincidental if it resembles something you have seen before. I was in a bad place and needed some form of expression. It's pretty much kind of repetitive, but it was just a way to let off some steam. Thank you and enjoy! - Explaining Depression Complete

I wrote this in regards to the people in my life whom I didn't communicate my depression very well to, (or they denied my mental health all together) This is a very personal work and I hope that others feel the emotion I put into this piece. - Ad Infinitum Ongoing

❝I noticed the different kids were always put down by other people and it would cause them to become almost violent with themselfs. It's not really necessary, there's a way to find strength in yourself. And for me it was writing, that was sort of my release and escape. So the term Knives and Pens to me was like a choice, you can either create or become violent and maybe go down a dark road.❞ - Andy Biersack - Secrets Ongoing
