This story takes an interesting look at the what the life of Abraham's son, Isaac, might have looked like after Abraham nearly sacrificed him to God in obedience to God. That is, if Isaac had access to a psychiatrist like most people who've had troubles with their fathers have in the modern age. It's definitely a different perspective than the Biblical one. - Examinations of Christianity Ongoing

This is the Walk of the Israelites. How Moses saw the Lord in the burning bush, how both Moses and Ramses II viewed the ten plagues, and last but not least, the Red Sea. Enjoy :) P.S. this book is designed not to feel like a "dusty old Bible story" but relate able and fun. So if your turned off that this is a religious book, don't be. I've had several atheists and such tell me they love the book. So come on in P.P.S. I'm getting better in my writing so if you don't like the story because you think I suck at writing, skip forward to say chapter 10. If I still suck then...wow I gotta get better at this.....Anyways thank all of you guys so much and have a great day. - Sacred Sex Ongoing

"the Bible is the most valuable thing that this world affords. here is the wisdom; this is the royal law; these are the lively oracles of God." with these words the moderator of the church of Scotland hands a Bible to the new monarch in Britain's coronation service. these words echo the King James bible translators, and wrote in 1611, "God's sacred word...is that inestimable treasure that excelleth all the riches of earth." this assessment of the bible is motivating force behind the publication of the English standard version. ESV study bible, the Bible contains two kinds of words. first, there are the actual words of the bible - the very words of God to us. second, there are the study notes-mearly human words. - On Catholicism Ongoing

From the beginning of time to the modern age, gods have been assigned to lead and care for a people. Many cultures include multiple gods, some cultures mention only one. Some cultures state that everything is god, and others say that gods do not exist, so they make gods out of whatever becomes most important to them. In all of history, however, there has only been one religion that emphasized and even necessitated brotherly love as the backbone of the entire belief system. There is also only one religion in history that spoke of a savior for all people from the beginning of time all the way until his birth to a young woman in a remote part of the Roman Empire. And there is only one religion in the world that has survived and grown for 8000 years straight. Humbly, a case for the good God of the Bible. DID YOU KNOW KING SOLOMON WAS WIDELY BELIEVED TO BE A MAGICIAN WHO WORKED MIRACLES AND CONTROLLED SPIRITS? AND THAT MANY PEOPLE VIEWED JESUS IN THE SAME WAY, OFTEN DEPICTING HIM WITH A WAND? This entertaining, thought-provoking, and meticulously researched narrative examines the wealth of ancient beliefs that dramatically influenced the development of Christianity. This narrative expertly demonstrates how belief in magic, the imminent arrival of an apocalyptic savior and man's divinity merged into a cultural expectation that shaped the legendary status of a lowly carpenter and forever altered how the west would see the world. Both devout and subversive in the best sense, MYTHS OF CHRISTIANITY makes a provocative case that many widely-held beliefs concerning the nature of God, the origin of the Devil, the role of prophets - even the identity of the Son of God - may not stem from Hebrew religion at all, but from numerous ancient traditions, including ancient Persian and Roman cults. Distinguishing between uplifting Christian principles and stifling customs, this engaging and relatable account sets aside many of the dogmatic, and often divisive traditions so entrenched in our culture by revealing their lost origins. DISCOVER WHAT BRUCE LEE, OBAMACARE AND EVEN DISNEY CARTOONS HAVE IN COMMON WITH THE WRITTEN HISTORY AND ACCURACY OF CHRIST'S TEACHINGS. Personal and often humorous, MYTHS OF CHRISTIANITY provides an honest and faithful study of the history and foundation of Christianity so we can better understand the true, life-affirming role Christianity is meant to play in our lives. You may be surprised, you may be overwhelmed, you may even be troubled, but you will certainly never look upon Christian tradition the same way again!
