Cerebral Palsy is a medical condition and a common birth defect. It is caused by damage to the brain and can occur during pregnancy, childbirth, or after birth up to about age three. CP is not an infectious disease and is not contagious. Most cases are diagnosed at a young age rather than during adolescence or adulthood. I was diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy at the age of 4 months. Cerebral Palsy has its advantages and disadvantages. Living with CP is really hard for the ones who has it including me. This is my story about how I am coping with Cerebral Palsy in my own words. © Copyright 2014 @God_Girl_2013 - Living with a Disability ✔ Complete

I wish I could say Bree was strong. “She’s a fighter,” the doctors say. “She can beat this.” But I know better. They just say these things so that we don’t give up on her, to let us hope she has a chance. In reality, she never did. ~Taken from The Fighter~ - My Life With Jenny Complete

Christopher Glen or Chris as people refer to him as has Cyperole Palsy which causes abnormal growth in bones and posture. All that Chris wants to be is normal and play baseball like every other boy. Only his self and family believe in him, while the other boys make fun of him like he's not a person. Maybe one Day he can prove them wrong one day. - I Am Complete

My brother's name is Taylor. He is 25 years old. He was born with cerebral palsy and has spent most of his life in a wheelchair. He is my world.. though I have made that quite obvious. (This poem was originally assigned as an "I Am" poem in one of my classes. We were supposed to stick to guidelines, but I hate guidelines so I did my own thing and put a twist on it.) - Musings Of A Slightly Shattered Mind Ongoing

You may know this story as "So Basically, I Have Brain Damage: An Account of a Paraphrased Survival." That was supposed to be a series of pseudo-memoirs, but I have lost interest in that concept entirely. Now this is just a catalog of my poetry. Enjoy. - AIQ Complete

Hey everyone, I'm Claire. Dispite of my 22 years old, I can discribe myself as a crazy, funny and sentimental TEENAGER. Today I'm here to write about something that... you know... is ... uhm... akward(?) to a lot of people... or something like that. Can you guess what it is? ... No? ... Of course not. Drums please.....: A DISABLED. Yeah, yeah, I know what you guys are thinking: "Oh boy, another sentimental story about someone who is disabled and then everything finishes with an happy ending" or "Yeah she will just try to give us a lesson BUH!". Guess what: Yes i'm going to do it both! I'm writing the story of how I met my bestfriend (yes guys, he is the disabled person of the story that ends well), how is my bestfriend, how is our relation, our life together, all the other things that i can not remember right now, and of course... The lesson that you are waiting for. Everything that is written in this story happened, so, if you are interested keep reading, if you are not, keep reading too! Kisses from your Claire.
