Plastic is used once then thrown away. With the way we treat our planet, it seems that Earth is just plastic too, but that can change. It only takes one person, just like it takes one drop to create a ripple. - Waste #planetorplastic Complete

What does it take for the average man to view his actions and realize his impact on the environment? The consumption of plastics towards pollution, overexploitation for profits, and destroying habitats of organisms are only a few of the stresses we throw onto the environment. Earth was made as a place for all organisms to share, not only humans. It was our mistake to pollute the environment, but now it is our duty to cure those we have harmed. Eating Plastic, a story of how the average person realizes her selfishness is compromising the environment. - Toxic #PlanetorPlastic 2nd Entry Complete

A narrative/ essay on a beach cleanup I attended while I was in high school. One use plastics are a detriment to our environment. There have been recent studies that have showed that microplastics can now be found inside of humans. How far are we willing to go just for convenience? We need to take better care of our environment and the living things that exist within it. Otherwise we may just end up with another Venus or Mercury, an uninhabitable lifeless rock drifting through space. This essay shows that even when people think they are helping the environment, there is still more that could be done. They are superficially cleaning and not dealing with the potentially more hazardous small pieces of trash that are impacting our environment. Even then, we need to deal with the root of the issue and dispose of waste more responsibly and use more reusable items. - THE DAY I LOST HIM TO PLASTICS! #PlanetorPlastic Complete
