A children's book I am working on. This will hopefully be the first in a long series of children's books based on the book of proverbs from the Bible. This one is based on Proverbs 22;29 Seest thou a man diligent in his business? he shall stand before kings; he shall not stand before mean men. I hope you enjoy it and any feedback is welcome. - A Journey Through Time (Illustrated) Complete

Sometime around 1994 (when I was maybe 11), I wrote and illustrated a children's book. It was heavily influenced by both Back to the Future and Jurassic Park, which at the time was brand new. I was also a big fan of The Time Machine by H. G. Wells. It's really interesting (and a little unsettling) for me to see how little I've changed as a writer in the past twenty years. Oh well, enjoy! Charlie always wondered what has been hiding behind the doors of his grandad's treehouse. But his grandad would just say, 'THE TREEHOUSE IS A NO GO PLACE' and would not entertain any questions of that sort. Even though last year, Charlie was convinced he had heard footsteps echoing through the night from the broken window of the treehouse, his grandad reassured him, they were just the long branches of the old oak tree knocking against the old cottage. His annoying, teenage cousin Eric, however, had a different theory, making up stories of an abominable old troll living in the treehouse, giggling viciously behind their bedroom window. This summer, Charlie was determined to find the secret of the treehouse. But never in million years, did he expect, his curiosity would eventually lead him to the deepest darkest underground tunnels, caverns sculpted of the most beautiful limestone and peculiar hidden worlds, in search of the key to the Kingdom of Solis, whilst being pursued by Zoutarus - the sinister leader of the Graves of Ozaar. ...and little did he know, his journey would eventually lead him to uncover the truth about his father's disappearance. - Castle of Filth Complete

Have you ever woken up in the middle of the night, with a chill down your spine and a shiver reaching from your head to your toes? Then reaching down for your nice warm duvet, did you discover it mysteriously crumpled at the bottom of your bed? If so, it is my pleasure to tell you that you have been visited by the magical ... Blanketsnatchers. Now don't be scared or alarmed, these wonderful creatures may look strange, but they are the kindest people you could ever hope to meet. They are the friends of children all over the world, and it's they who tidy your rooms at night, making sure everything is as it should be while you sleep, and most importantly, that you have nice dreams. A Blanketsnatcher stands about as tall as a twelve-year-old child, but with arms and legs so long they look like squiggly spaghetti. Their hair only comes in the brightest colours, is completely impossible to keep tidy, and always matches their clever shining eyes. The last thing you really need to know about a Blanketsnatcher before we move on to the story, is their incredibly special stripy jumpers. A Blanketsnatcher is not like us with different outfits for different days, but instead has a single stripy jumper that they will wear all their lives. As each year passes on their birthday all their friends and family will add another stripe, so as the Blanketsnatcher grows older their jumper grows longer and longer. In fact, some of the older Blanketsnatchers have jumpers so long they need sewing up at the bottom and they no longer walk but are carried by magical winged butterfly clips. Once a Blanketsnatcher gets to such an old age, they usually stay in their home of Blanket Town and no longer fly on the duvet whales that take them from their world to ours. That should now be enough for us to be getting on with our story, so let's begin with the story of the first human ever to enter the magical world of the Blanketsnatcher ... - What Does Baby Dream About, When He Goes To Sleep?
